Hi guys, working on a new site, the owner gave me the login details, but when i go to www.site.com/wp-admin

It just takes me to the home page.

I imagine who ever built it put some sort of security plugin on it?

Is there another way to get to the login page?

Try asking the owner. That'd be the quickest way of logging in.

I think he using wp redirect for the Other country users tell him to disable that plugin. If he use that plugin other IP users can be redirected to the other page if you tried to login in to that page

Another alternative would be to ask the owner for his hosting account login name and password then go in from the "back door." He may not want to do that, but one way or the other, I think he is going to have to give you access. Maybe he can just deactivate his plug-in while you work on the site.

      Good luck,

      Steve

Could be as simple as removing the 'wp-' part. site.com/admin

    You might get lucky

Might have to check htaccess? I would suggest getting the hosting information and then going from there.

I've had this problem several times and the culprit was always a plug in playing nasty with me.

The solution I found was what Steve B suggested.

I logged in to the site through the Control Panel and then started deleting plug ins one by one until I found the offender.

After each plug in was deleted I tried to log in again...So it was a case of finding the rouge plug in...

Not pretty but I was finally able to log in to my WordPress site at:

Hi guys, ye, I reckon it's a plugin, and just changing the name of the plugin folder in ftp would do the trick.

My client doesn't know ftp details... they're trying to get them.

      Thanks for your help
