We Want Big Bucks But...

We don't want to put in the hours.

I cannot believe to this day how many people have huge hopes and dreams but when it comes down to putting rubber to the road, they bail. There's so many "shortcuts" and tools to speed things up but they're completely useless if you didn't know how to do the thing manually in the first place.

I use a page on facebook as an example. I show people how to build and populate pages with tons of likes on FB. When it comes to the part where people have to sit down for an hour or two daily to make sure the content is GOOD, they balk.

Why?

They want a solution that automates it. But in reality you can automate it but it may not be as good as doing it yourself.

The same goes for paid advertising campaigns, people all want to make one campaign with one ad and direct link it to one offer. When that fails they blame everything. It's the traffic source or the offer or whatever. But in reality the fact is they did about 1% of the work involved.

Automated doesn't really exist in its purest form. There will always be a need to actually do some of the BORING and REPETITIVE work.

Rant over.

That's exactly where outsourcing comes in

      Agreed.
But also, even though you have people that simply run away with their tail between their legs, there are also other guys out there who actually "fail" in a different direction. Too much information out there, a lot of it disinformation, and unless some are taught to do so, People will not discern and filter the good info from the bad information, until the weight becomes too much.
I know I was like that. Taking in too many projects, some of which entirely based on bad information.
I tell ya, the smoke came outa my head sometimes.

OR they want the moon for nuthin'

If they're not in your budget, or aren't willing to commit, walk away.

There are plenty of other, better prospects out there.

People DO need to realize that most of success comes from DULL HARD WORK.

Great solid post that I agree with.

To many newbies refuse to accept the simple truth that it takes HARD WORK to build a successful business online.

Amen to that. Many years ago I didn't get my first profitable PPC campaign until after TWO months of testing and gosh knows how many ad campaigns and how many ad groups! Let me tell you, though I lost a couple grand during those two months of testing I learned a TON about PPC marketing, what sales copy and trigger words worked, and once I found that winner, I merely scaled up and duplicated it.

Why 2 months? I went through a lot of keywords. It was also in a very competitive niche with a bunch of competitors. Some of the keywords had people's ads showing up on page 4 and 5! It was insane.

But I persevered. The education I learned from those 2 months was priceless.

We are here for those that want to do the work.

I used to lose a lot of sleep over all the people who gave up on themselves way to early in the game.

Now, I understand, that success is an internal job. We can't do it for them...and when they're ready...when they have a real business plan based on foundational business principles and not sales copy, then
they will do the work...boring and all...to make it happen for themselves.

        As it should be.

  • The only way to get bucks without working is winning the lottery. There's really no substitute for hard work if you want to succeed in a business

There's only so many hours in a day and automation is the only true way of building a business online that you run, as opposed to having a business that runs you.

2 hours a day to populate pages with likes, then another 2-3 hours daily to answer support emails, then another 2-3 hours to build backlinks maybe, then another 2 hours to find new prospects..... doing it this way isn't the the smart way.

Your job an an entrepreneur is to RUN the business, and delegate the specific tasks to specific people. That's the only way your business will continue to grow.
