Auction Site Payment Question

I want to make buyers feel comfortable sending me their money for an auction website. Is there sum sort of credible middle man source that will safely secure a buyers money and hold it until the buyer receives the item they won on the auction at which time the middle man company would release the funds to me. In other word this would be similar to what fiverr does.

    Definitely read reviews before trusting any escrow company though.

        You should also be aware that there are some unscrupulous escrow companies out there as well so be sure to check them out thoroughly before you choose one if you decide to go this route.

        You might also want to check out the Kickstarter.com model that uses amazon to hold pledges and then pays out when and if a project reaches it goal. This is not exactly what you are doing but it seems that if you use this amazon service to suit your needs.
