Should I do a 6 week or 12 week coaching program?

I'm trying to make final decisions on the coaching program I'm going to launch. I've currently got 12 weeks of content, but my fear is that I won't be able to coach for an hour on each week's topic. I feel like anything less than an hour may make my customers feel like they're not getting their money's worth.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this or have any experience? I'm thinking of charging $197 for the program.

Thanks in advance.

    Hey man.

I personally don't care how long the sessions are. If I implement and am happy with the results, it's all good.

I tend to think about it this way: if I knew the winning lottery numbers and was willing to give them to you, you wouldn't really care about the length of our conversation or the fancy packaging. You'd just scribble them down on a piece of paper and get busy.

    Seb.

I'd do 6 weeks. It isn't as long of a commitment for people as 12 weeks, which some might be wary of.

I am not really knowledgeable about the coaching and mentoring industry, but if I will subscribe to a program, I would not really care about its length or duration. It is the quality that will matter to me and the mentor's capability to let me understand the most complicated ideas.

Your coaching students want results as fast a possible...so if you can do it in 5, 6, 7 weeks...then make that happen.

I've never been a fan of the Big Box of Stuff mentality. I just want the meat of a proven system so I can implement and get results.

Don't bog your students down in unnecessary material and get them results as fast as possible. They will thank you for it

Doing the entire thing in several weeks can be very convenient and it is very good for promotion, too. They will really be tempted to avail of your services. However, set something that is realistic. Make sure that you would not be sacrificing the quality of what they will be learning just to shorten the time to be spent.

3 months seems to be a good length working for the bigger marketers at the moment. Anything more than that and I think you tend to overwhelm people.

Your coaching program needs to be as long as it needs. I would pay for an hours worth of content if the hour gave me what I need. If I could get that relevant info for 2 years, then I lucked out.

The time you spend will turn that person into a follower of yours. They will respect your wisdom, and want more of your offer.

That is the very basic, simplest way to build a mlm business. It is also the most successful.

My advice, take all the time you need on each student. Don't give time to those who don't want to learn.

Kudos! You just found a simple way to become abundantly wealthy!

If I was your student I would like to finish fast with these lessons. Can you make them the shortest possible?

I would be glad if you could because I don't have time to watch long videos with complicated lessons.

The shorter the coaching session the better. 6 weeks is 42 days. If you can compress the coaching program and maybe come up with a 30 day program. Maybe you will be able to attract more students.

You can limit the actual live coaching time to maybe 30 minutes and send the rest of the information to the client's email. This way the client will have better chances of letting the information sink in.

Alternatively you can have the sessions last for like I said 30 minutes, and offer the clients the option of an upgraded package where they can receive more one on one time with you depending on their personal preferences.

Well, maybe, it will just depend on the attitude of your target students towards learning about everything they need to know about Internet marketing. Others prefer a deeper learning process to make them feel like they are really getting the most out of what they are paying you to do. However, there will be some who will want to do it fast and start earning right away. Just do your best to achieve balance.

Thanks everyone....just an FYI this is not a program for marketing. It's a weight loss program. Should have stated that earlier I suppose.

Yeah it's good you mentioned it's a weight loss program, it may be a good idea to make the workout packed with info for 6 weeks instead of dragging it out for a long time, people will be more motivated and be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
    Hope this helped, Dylan

Oh, I'm sorry about that, JaredRhodenizer. I got confused as I was also speaking to another warrior minutes ago about Internet marketing coaching. My apologies.

My personal thoughts were to initially do 12 weeks but now I'm pretty decided on 6. I agree that most people may get burned out by 12 weeks. Also with a weight loss program everyone wants to see results fast and they will definitely see them faster with a hard core 6 week program. This is why I love warrior forum.

I would go for 6 weeks. The shorter, the better. But just make sure your students will be able to loss some weight at the end of the program.

    Good luck with this :-)

I'd start with a 6 week (i.e. shortish) programme to allow you to guage how your time and commitment works. If you begin to feel it could do with longer then extend it for future students.

    Test and change.

I personally would find it harder locking myself into a 12 week programme and finding I was struggling to deliver. Better to deliver plenty over 6 weeks than small amounts spread over 12. It can always grow into a 12 week course.

Like everyone else I will also vote for 6 weeks , every one wants to see quick results and make sure your training sessions are content packed . I have seen a few course where they tell you how to signup on a web and waste your 5 minutes in that only

    P.S. - I know its a weight loss product.
