Hi,

I have couple videos to create and was wondering about the options abvailable to create a video like this one (just watch 1 minutes of it)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTQ1...r_embedded#t=0

I was using camtasia studio for years , but when it comes to this type of videos (just text, some pictures and cool animations) , it doesn't do a good job

I'm using windows

Thanks for helping out guys

I hope this helps. I have a few experiences on video editing and the software that I normally use is Adobe Premiere Pro. You can get the text/image pop-up effects that you need using Premiere, but if you want something that is more advanced, you should definitely try using Adobe After Effects.

if you want to make quick videos, you can convert ppt to video.
This is one method of mine, you can promote cb products on youtube with these simple videos like me.

Converting PPT to videos can be an easy way to do it. However, PPT has very limited functions, as well. I have tried doing that method once but I ended up using After Effects because I wanted more advanced text effects. Once you master using AE, you would already feel like you can do everything.

I've got a guy in the Philippines who does this for me. He is good and very reasonably priced. I know he is available now, as he just sent me a message asking if I had any projects for him.

PM me if you want to see a couple of the projects he has done for me, or if you want me to connect you.

For that particular video, I'd use a combination of PowerPoint for the basic text animations, along with a video camera to record the "how to" shave.

Powerpoint has a free 30 day trial, then an option to "rent" it from the cloud for $10 a month.

OpenOffice Impress can do many of the same things, and it's free, but it doesn't convert the presenations to video like Powerpoint 2010 and 2013 do, so you will need to find a way to create videos from the presenations.

You could create the presentations using +OpenOffice, then record them using Camtasia, but I find the small expense of $10 a month for PowerPoint to be a very good investment that saves tons of time and hassles.
