How To Capture Only Phone Number With Aweber Opt In Form

INTERNET MARKETING

I want to remove everything from the custom aweber form and insert just a phone number box .Ive tried to do this in the edit function but there is a remove option for everything except the actual email address box which i dont want there.. (i know this sounds ridiculous but humour me)..
Anyone any ideas how to do this? It may be very easy but im no techie...

It's obviously not ridiculous for you to want to collect people's phone-numbers instead of their email addresses, but it may be ridiculous to expect Aweber to be able to collate a list without your subscribers' email addresses, because Aweber is an email autoresponder service.

Maybe I have it all wrong, but I can't envisage any mechanism for them to hold your "list", and provide their service, without having people's email addresses. It's not easy to see why you need Aweber for this, if you don't want to send your "subscribers" email?

You need to look into SMS marketing as oppose to email marketing.

From what I heard tho, SMS marketing is not cheap but the results should be much more quality!

I sense a slight disdain in your response Alexa.... you may feel it is ridiculous to expect aweber to hold a form with only phone number in it, and perhaps it is,but for those of us like myself who are learning this techstuff as quickly as we can and are just asking for confirmation one way or another it isnt.. Sorry if the question irritated you.

  No apology needed at all - it was my decision to reply (and as I mentioned, I may be wrong, anyway). As you can see, I was trying to suggest that I thought it might be more helpful to you to discuss it with Aweber than asking here: their staff really are very good; and to observe that it's not easy to see why you need Aweber for this, if you don't want to send your "subscribers" email.   Technically speaking... you could use Aweber for this, but why would you want to? Aweber's primary function is to send emails to your list. So if you use Aweber to collect only phone numbers, then you would be spending money every month on something that's completely unnecessary.
  
  A much more efficient option, in your scenario, would be to have each submitted phone number emailed directly to you (this is very simple to do with PHP).

It's only for one campaign Brandon.. i use Aweber for other campaigns.
From with what you suggest perhaps someone can make me a simple form i can use for this, to just email me direct as soon as the form is submitted with the phone number submitted

You can get someone to build you a custom form submission just to collect phone numbers. No need other email marketing services in this case.

Without the email, Aweber has no means of contacting the subscribers. To capture just the phone numbers you don't need aweber.
