Is this Google related forum OK to ask about Google Drive? I created a folder and want to copy/paste a folder of information INTO that Google Drive folder.....does anyone here have experience with GD? If so, please advise the best route for putting a folder of info into GD folder that has been created. Keep in mind, I accessed GD directly via my Gmail account and made this folder in Drive.....I did not download and install GD for PC. Only via Gmail access. Thanks!

Haven't used Drive in a while, but from what I remember, you couldn't upload a folder. You could only make a folder and then upload the files inside. Because such a hassle that I just started compressing everything before uploading it...

Yes, I did make my folder in Drive. Now I have a separate folder I want to put inside that. So, in essence, I can't put or upload the other folder on my hard drive INTO that Drive folder?

You can upload a folder into a folder in drive. I am using Chrome. I open my Google drive. I click on the folder to open. This is the one I want to insert the other folder. Once open, in the upper left hand corner, there is an button to the right of the create button. I click on it and it will have a folder option. Click on that and then it will ask you to navigate to the folder you want to upload. Click on the folder and it will upload it into the folder you choose.

Oh, I see they have something called 'Enable Folder Upload' now. Apparently you can upload an entire folder, assuming you're using Chrome.

Thank you all. I did notice upon trying to upload, that it told me to download and install Google Chrome - which I did. I kind of like it. In any case, see my attached screenshot. What I had done, was "Right-Click"/Drag my Outlook Express email folder into the open blank area of my named Google Drive folder and this was the result.
In order to see all of my emails....what is my next step? Not sure what I need to do. Thank you. Your advice/comments/instruction are greatly appreciated.

Zip up your folders and password protect then before uploading to G Drive. Protect yourself, just in case....

use winrar to compress your folders before uploading them. You should also password protect then RAR files because once you upload a file to Google they can take it and do whatever they want with it if they want so don't give them access.

I personally wouldn't want to hand my files over to Google at all. They already know too much about all of us.

I never thought of zipping my files. I do have Winrar. So my next question: I have that folder of emails in Drive right now....should I simply delete it altogether and start over by zipping the email folder and uploading it to G-Drive? Btw, the folder, when I mouse over it, shows a file size of 2.15GB. Another question, I have WindowsLive mail....would that be a better alternative and can I upload it to that platform instead? Since I use Outlook Express 6.0 as my primary business email I am assuming there really is no way to actually get those emails back into and opened up through OE, right?
(I appreciate all your responses btw...very helpful each and every one)
