Anyone know of a free piece of software I can take a flat pic and turn into a 3/4 view or something like that.

Are you looking for a perspective type view like, like you are looking at it from angle? if so photoshop can do this.

yes, but I don't use photoshop was looking to see what is out there free since I don't this enough to justify the cost

You could do this fairly easily in Gimp or Paint.net
