Default CRO (Conversion rate optimisation)- What are you doing about it?

Hi there,

One thing that has stuck me in the IM community, is that 99% of the focus is on traffic. This makes sense because no traffic = no sales.

I would like to think that most of us understands that. If not then please let me repeat it. If you have no traffic to your website then you will not make any sales. Period.

However I think that there is another key factor that doesn't get mentioned and that is Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO).

Website must be constantly optimised to ensure that you are consistently improving your conversion rate.

Think about it. If you have a current conversion rate of 1% and you work on your CRO to bring it up to 2%. You have just increased your sales by 100%, not bad for a little bit of extra work (note I am assuming that an actual conversion in a sale).

SEO and CRO must work hand in hand, its no good having one thing and not the other.

Thanks
