How to promote my service to target customer?

Hello warriors,
I'm new to online marketing. But I want to promote my service. I can create complex online survey for other people. I work for data collection companies for many years.
I would like to know how can I promote this service. I try to place an ad on Facebook. but doesn't get result.
So, what do you people recommend.
Any help is appreciated

Facebook sounds like a bad place for such a technical service, it's for broader appear products that you can match to profile demographics.

You must know the activities that your clients use that data with, I would target sites and forums that discuss that business using something like the Adwords network or CPV popup windows. Seems like targeting market research discussions would make some connections.

Sorry I don't know better who the demographic for survey making are, or what synonyms are used in business in place of surveying.

Hey buddy I would recommend that you try posting it at legitimate websites that offer a variety of technical bases. Such as odesk.com, freelancer.com, elance.com, and search related websites by googling it

Yea facebook is not that good usually with ads. I never can win with them. Try other social media networks like twitter. Even linkedin. Works good with me. Give em a try

Odesk and even fiverr will be good places to lure in customers for services. Offer some free trial or sampling of your service and then go to more advanced things later.

My concern with your statement is you create complex online surveys. Hopefully, the surveys are simple because people are turned off by complex

As for promoting your service, you need to clarify what pain your alleviating with your service. How are you helping the end customer move closer to their end goals?

Also, check out what your top 10 competitors are doing, swipe the best stuff that you are willing to do...then ask yourself how can you make it better.

Once you've made it better, create a name for it so it's proprietary to you and only you and the only way to get it is through you. If you can use a word other than survey which isn't really positive, you may be able to create your own category! I can't recommend any names because I'm not really clear on what you do...but hope this helped.

What kind of service do you offer?

One of the best long term strategies for promoting any service is to showcase your expertise. And the best way to display your expertise is to start a blog in your niche and update it with quality content on a regular basis. This way your target audience will know and understand that you are an authority in your niche, giving them a strong reason to go for your service.

Try to do an online search for sites that use surveys.
Contact the administrators to learn more about them, why they use surveys and try to devise a way to help them out by offering your services.

You must have a website if you used facebook ads am i right? Why do you do a banner advertising campaign to get started?

Facebook could work if you know specifically who you are going after.

Do you know your target customers that would need your service?

Once you are clear on that, then you could set up a FB campaign targeting specifically them. PPV might be another really targeted option for you

First, find your customers. Then create the service.
