Absolute newbie doesn't know where to start

Hello, Warriors. To be honest, i don't even know where to start from writing this thread. Feeling so small right now in this huge forum. I will surely understand if my thread gets deleted. But here it goes anyway...

I am absolutely new to internet marketing and got very interested in it since i am looking into various ways to make some money online. All started from a thread on 4chan, someone linked me to this forum... And this video .

I know there are millions of videos online that are absolute garbage and just try to convince you to buy their products, but this dude seems like he knows what he is talking about and isn't trying to sell anything. So after watching couple of his vids, i thought why not to start doing something today and here i ended up in this forum writing this thread because obviously i have lots and lots of questions. I will post them here in hope that someone sometime was in the same spot as me right now and will help me answer those questions.

1. If you have seen that video, is it legit? Do his methods work? Basically he is talking about choosing a product by doing google keyword research and promoting it via paid networks.

2. Since google keyword tool is down, how do i go about it? What do i use?

3. Possible to generate free traffic?

.. Eh i will just stop right here because i just have too many questions. The best thing to do would be just ask you guys for as much advice as possible. Everything goes. Essential reads, software, anything that can help me get started. Once again i will understand if i get dissed for posting this thread and it gets deleted, but just give me something to grab on, a starting point.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Sorry if my language is broken, english is not my native language.

...Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just set there.

Threads like this may help you: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7110523

I haven't seen the video, but judging by what you've said about it, I think threads here might help you rather more than the video. I'm not even going to comment on the concept of "choosing a product by doing keyword research".

I know, the information he is giving might be outdated or to you marketing experts (at least for me you seem like that) look silly. But is it at least a good starting point? ClickBank? Paid ads? That's how it goes? Ok i will read what you've linked me.

75% of my income comes from promoting ClickBank products as an affiliate - and for quite a long time it was 100%. I don't use paid ads, though. (I know some people do, though, and successfully - but that has an even bigger/longer/harder learning curve than the normal "ClickBank affiliate learning curve", which is hard enough for most people).

It seems to me that there's not so much a "disparity" as a "gaping chasm" between these two statements.

There are plenty of people here making their livings from ClickBank, as affiliates, anyway, so you'll doubtless find some good forum information on the subject. (Just be careful to look for it in the Main Marketing Forum, not in the SEO Forum, because search engine traffic and ClickBank sales don't mix well! ).

Good to hear! Do you by any chance happen to know when will High Traffic Academy have their registrations open?

Hey guys - I'd say the chances are good that arnax is "connected" in some way to the video. But in any case, posting a video (especially one lasting over an hour) isn't appropriate in a discussion forum.

    Hello Arnax,

Most people new to the web business fail for these reasons - a lack of basic understanding of the online sales process, doing too much too soon, resulting in information overload, and not taking action.

The key to a successful web business can be stated on the basis of the concept of E.U.I.:-

EDUCATING ourselves on the basic skills of working our web business
UNDERSTANDING what learn from acquiring these basic skills
IMPLEMENTING, by taking action to put our plan into action, the basic skills that we have acquired and understood.

Having a PRODUCT is NOT a business.

Having a WEBSITE is NOT a business.

    So, what constitutes a business?

    Answer - PEOPLE!

The web business is essentially a PEOPLE BUSINESS.

There are three ways to make money online:

    - Find a profitable niche
    - Find your list of starving crowd who are interested in your niche
    - Market related products to this list.

As a newcomer to this business, you would want to experience the excitement of generating FREE organic traffic to your business, and when you have the budget to do so, you could try paid ads.

However in the interim, it is better for you to shorten your learning curve by quickly acquiring you basic skills - without having to have to learn everything -- and you are all set to go.

The web business is a marathon - never a sprint.

    My best regards,

    Peter

Hey! This is one of the better "help me i'm new" threads i have to admit. It looks like you are ready to read up on some essentials and create a plan for yourself before you take action. Dont spend to long reading and planning though, taking action is one of the most important things you can learn here.

Choose your niche by finding an eBook on clickbank or a product, and think to yourself, "Would i buy that?" If you would, or you would be tempted to, go ahead and promote it.Start a blog , build a list and then start the promotions.

    Best of luck.

Thanks mate. I know that making an action asap is important, but as much as i want quick buck, i have lots of time to do my research and after i am sure of my future steps, only then will i make actions.

If Clickbank is the direction you want to go in, start researching YouTube/Clickbank strategies on here. Focus on new product launches as well as low competition keyword phrases. There's more than enough great information to help get you started.
