I was wondering how people go about doing keyword research, besides the google tool keywords. Just interested in how people view keywords and the process they go about.

if you're new, start with the google tool. although many people feel the google tool is inaccurate (and i've experienced that on one project myself) it's good at the very least for brainstorming.

but you might want to start by swiping the keywords of your competitors first. checkout keycompete.com. it's a good start

also, wordtracker.com has a 7 day trial. so you can do your research and cancel it or keep it if you feel it's worth it

          Hi,
I suggest maybe you can use the Micro niche finder. I am using this software. It help me save a lot of times. Calculate the how many is the keyword competitor for you. The price is reasonable and worth to buy it.

Aaron Wall's keyword tool is phenomenal. Compares the traffic you can get from the three major search engines and some social networking sites. Oh and did I tell you it is free? You can get it at tools.seobook.com
