need help with my marketing story

So I'm going to offer a free report on "How to stay virus free" on a squeeze page to generate an email list, I have an auto responder (Aweber) and a mail.com account.

Once I have my email list I guess what I am asking is what am I trying to sell my subscribers? Virus Protection Software through Amazon? That's the part I am stuck on, but I for sure want to do the virus protection.

I think I am going to use godaddy business option at $5 a month that gives me a free domain and website builder with hosting I believe, or should I go with a namecheap.com domain and use hostgator for hosting and website builder?

Maybe, but Amazon commissions are on the low side. Might it perhaps be possible to find virus protection software you're happy to recommend and sell through another company which pays higher commissions? (Not my niche at all, so I'm "only asking"!).

You're in an "unusual" position here: you've apparently decided on the niche without knowing what's for sale in it, and where, and how you earn from it?! Not necessarily a terrible thing, but you need to do some research, I think?

    Here's my opinion ...

    1. Never register a domain-name and host its site in the same place. Keep these two functions separate. It can help to avoid disasters. This explains why: Why not have hosting and domain from the same provider?

    2. Never use GoDaddy or 1and1 (your own research, if you do enough of it here and/or in other forums, will demonstrate why, but here's a thread to start on): Are there any disadvantages from sites like godaddy? . In my opinion, without writing a book about it, GoDaddy is a company with a pretty nasty reputation here (and elsewhere), and has caused many Warriors a wide range of often unpredictable problems (some of them very serious).

    3. Hostgator is well and widely and happily used by huge numbers of Warriors (including myself). Don't be put off hosting there just by posts from members who are advertising "Hostgator alternatives" and/or "Hostgator problems" in their signature-files in order to promote their own hosting services - it seems to me that that does happen, in every "hosting" thread here which lasts long enough.

    4. I recommend Namecheap as a registrar. I've used many (including GoDaddy!). I've now moved all my domain-registrations to Namecheap and I don't buy elsewhere.

    5. If I wanted a professional, reliable, cheap host for one site, I would try Hostica: they charge $1 per month for one site and have a good reputation overall. If I wanted a professional, reliable, well-established free one, I would probably use Byethost.

    6. For myself, I would always use a very long-established, mainstream, orthodox, hosting company owned by a big well-known company, never a smaller, newer one.

    7. I advise you not to make a quick decision to host anywhere on the basis of a discount, or coupon, but to think it through carefully and make a well-informed decision.

It's all opinion - everybody has one!

I've actually used name cheap before so ill go with that, and hosting from hostgator. I was thinking about advertising AVG's software, but I guess I'm not sure what if 25% commission is good on one sale.

It's a lot more than you're going to get from Amazon, surely? (You'll start at 4%, there).

I dont think you will find a what you need in a online website builder. My advice would be get your domain name registered, I use Cheap Domain Names | Cheap Web Hosting | Buy Domain Hosting UK but its up to you. Then get your hosting with Hostgator, install wordpress on your hosting and use a squeeze page theme or plugin. Hope this helps!!

Once you have built your email list you have the ability to sell them a variety of products so don't get focused on whether Amazon will work or not, test multiple products that would appeal to the list you have built.
