Ideas for baby niches?

If there are some ebooks/products that are for babies, obviously the target audiences must be the mothers.

What niche is this?

I mean, if I would like to find a bunch of mums, where can I start?
How should I find their common aspects?

Any ideas would be appreciated!

    Popular forums such as Cafemom is a good place to start. Though I don't know what their signature line policy would be. Any local moms forum where you could blog or contribute to forums about parenting or mom issues would be a good place to possibly generate traffic to a website about your ebook or baby niche.

      google "Motherhood forums" - should be enough results to keep you busy... if not check the google images under the search box.... most images show you the website address etc

        This is a good idea actually. But use caution as most of the parenting forums are not very tolerant of blatant advertising. Though you might be able to get away with a signature or profile link.

    Look for parenting forums or related forums. Related forums can often be just as good, as they might be more tolerant of marketing related .sigs. And mom forums can often be the worst(best?) when it comes to enforcing petty rules.

      This is an amazing niche for a marketer that can tap into it. The reason being Mothers are very possessive about their babies and would not mind spending at all. Having said that it is a bit difficult to answer you as the intent is not clear. But the comments above kind of summarize the best way to go about.

      I would recommend participate in the forums, try and understand the pulse of your audience and take it from there.

    Besides forums, FaceBook groups seem to be extremely popular for monthers of newborns. There's quite a few really large groups where new moms are posting and asking questions.

    As I recall from my own experience a long time ago, mums have problems. You need to solve problems in the baby niche. This could be any of the following and more

    Pre school learning
    Toy safety
    Special needs
    Specific Health conditions
    Long term saving for eduction

    And so on...

      Maybe he could recruit a panel of moms from these parenting forums to test out his new site for usability. There would be many click throughs from moms wanting to help out. Also, gaining feedback from moms on what issues they would like to see covered on the new site would be very valuable.
