Do you use a buy now button or link to sales page in your free download?

I have a squeeze page and give away a free ebook. At the end of the ebook I have a link to buy the full version. I am wondering if this is a bad idea and if I should instead send people to sales page first? The thing is some people find my product through my squeeze page and others go directory to my sales page (which has an opt-in form). My free ebook has valuable info which helps to sell the full version. I realize I can test this but I am just looking for some advice before I do.

Do people know that they aren't going to get the full eBook when they opt-in to your list or do they assume they are getting it for completely free?

Well I state free 60 page ebook on my squeeze page. On my sales page it explains I am offering a 150 page ebook along with a bunch of other important files, but the opt-in form is for the free 60 page ebook.

If you've gotten their email through the squeeze page, I'd play the slow game and "coach" them into reading the first 60 pages, follow up with them and only through the emails try to sell them the paid version.

As said above just test what you think is correct.

Yes test it or you can mention that the free book holds less valuable information then the full version.

Offering a squeeze page for your e-book is actually a good idea. You better stick to that plan because if the readers really find your book interesting they have no choice but to buy the full version of it. You’re actually giving them a taste of the whole cake to eat.

    Good luck on that!

Thanks for the replies however it is incredible that people just keep posting exactly the same thing just so their signatures will show up.

The best thing you can do is test and see what works best
