Hi all, I need some advice. I need to do my IM project fast. I don't have the luxury of time or money so I need to balance between the 2. Recently, I came up with this idea and I'm hoping that those with experience can help me out here. Here's the plan: Set up a squeeze page (no blog/ website, in this case) Set up a report with affiliate links Set up this report for free for people to opt-in Find 5 long tail keywords with searches of at least 100 daily and low competition (will find more kw later) Create social networking sites for linking purposes (This will ensure that I can get multiple listings on the 1st page of Google) Here's the calculation: 5 kw x 80 searches x 30 days = 12000 searches 12000 x 10% = 1200 opt-ins 1200 x 1% = 12 sales/ mth 12 x $20 = $240/ mth In this case, all I'll have to do is create squeeze page and report. But since I can only spare about 10 hours per week and I want to do 1 complete mini project in 2 weeks, I want to outsource certain tasks. Outsourcing tasks: Article writing Ebook cover design In short: Budget for project: $100 Timeframe: 2 weeks (20 hours) I know this is nothing new and it's not sexy. I'm just trying to get back to basics and to KISS (keep it simple stupid). I aways get carried away with doing too many things and then not finishing anything at all. So in this case, all I'm trying to do is 'sell' my report. My question is do you guys think this will work? (If there's anyone who can do a 10 page report, squeeze page copy and ebook cover design at affordable rates, please let me know.) Thanks and regards Lydia |

Lydia, I'd look for the keywords first. There's no point in investing your time or cash in creating a free report and setting up a squeeze page unless there's a proven demand for the information and it's clear that people will be prepared to spend money on products or services that your report recommends. Also, you need to look at the competitiveness of those keywords in the search engines. You can't "ensure" a page one ranking with a basic linking campaign.. you need to know what you are up against first. John |

Yes, I agree with you. I'll definitely do a search for the keywords 1st to see if I can dominate the 1st page listing. I'm aiming for long tail keywords between 50-100 searches daily with less than 10000 competitiors with quotes around the keywords. So I'm thinking in this case, using social networks and linking to each other and to my squeeze page, I'm able to get to 1st page listing. I'm aiming to get 3-4 of my own sites on the 1st page. Thanks for your feedback. Lydia | |

Lydia, Sure, it's both a KISS method and a doable one. Can you succeed? Definitely. But you would need to put in more resources such as creating more linkwheels, widening your hubs and networks. |
