Where Do You Test Your Landing Pages?

I've got my landing page ready for now, but I still need to test it.

My question is:

Where do you test your landing page at?

Isn't it supposed to be some source of free traffic? I plan on putting my landing page on other peoples' product thank you pages.
I have no idea about this and couldn't find the info anywhere.
What source do I get my traffic from for my landing page?

Here's a link to the screen shot of my landing page: (zoomed all the way out)

Not exactly sure what you want to test but you need some targeted traffic. Any free traffic you get is mostly useless.

I'm just looking to test and see how it performs.

All the successful internet marketers say that you should test your landing page, but they never say where they test it with.

      Anyone? Please answer this!

I actually have to disagree here. Some free traffic can convert just fine, as long as it's targeted (in other words, the people are interested in what you have to offer). Youtube would be a good place to start, as it's not only a popular video sharing site but also a popular search engine in its own right.

I think that's where I'll have to start for now, on Youtube.
I'm not very good at making videos, but I can hopefully make a half decent screen capture video where I recommend the free download on my page.

I don't have a very good website to send traffic to, so I can't do that. Traffic is next to nothing, and I only really use the site as a place to host download pages & to accompany my email address for my list.

I do also have a good Facebook page in my niche. I will advertise my landing page to them and see how it goes.

So, I'll try Facebook and Youtube, then I'll post my results here pretty soon.

If anyone has more ideas, please post!

Are you asking if you should be using free or paid traffic to test your conversion rates?

      I'm asking:
How do I test my landing page?

I want to know where most people test their landing pages to see how they perform, whether that's free or paid traffic.

Most people use solo ads, so I'll use that as an example. When people make a landing page for solo ad they plan on buying, where do they test that landing page before buying the actual solo ad?
Do they buy a smaller & cheaper solo ad?
Or do they use some other form of traffic?

They put it on their site and buy traffic for it. You can buy adwords traffic or a solo ad, anything that is going to bring you targeted visitors. You can test it out on free traffic too if you already get some to your site.

If you are serious about getting your offer on other people's thank you pages then you will want to have some very good solid stats to show potential vendors. To do this you should be doing a heap of paid advertising and testing and tweaking your offer until it is the best it can be. Only then should you be approaching other vendors.

For paid traffic I would suggest solo ads, Facebook and maybe even Youtube.

I use solos ads to test new squeeze pages. It’s important to start with a small 50 click solo. I also make sure to use venders that I know & trust. That way I know if the conversions are low it’s not the traffic that’s the issue.

I'd send a min of 100 clicks to the page..
    paid traffic.. ( Solo's / PPC )
I'd be looking for a min of 30% conversion.
    Higher.. awesome !
Lower.. tweak it.. & test again.

Thank you both for your answers! That sounds like a good method for me to use.

How much does a 50-100 click solo usually cost?

Also, I'm in the Kindle niche. My target is Kindle publishers & writers who want to publish their work.

Where can I find trustworthy people to buy solo ads from in my niche?

Should I find a directory or ask around the Warrior Forum?

Or should I ask affiliates that I already know?

I've worked with Bill Platt (TPW), Robert Howard, and Sam England a few months ago. They promoted my Kindle product, and it did great.

But, I know they've got high quality lists & are big affiliates in the Kindle niche.

I haven't noticed any solo ads on Bill Platt's list, but I haven't been on Rob or Sam's lists.

Is it worth asking them if they would sell me a solo ad?

They've got very high quality traffic, especially Bill.

      Thanks!
