How do you get people to your sales funnel?

I am struggling with the process of identifying leads to send through my sales funnel. I would appreciate any guidance.

You just need to set up simple conversion goals in Google Analytics. It's super easy to do, and most importantly, free!

Paid advertising would be the quickest method to get qualified leads. Set up a squeeze page and collect leads/emails using ppc, ppv, solo ads, etc. Once they subscribe to your list you can send them thru your funnel. You should split test several squeeze pages and advertising platforms to get the best conversion rate. Keep in mind, a large list doesn't necessarily equate to the most sales. The quality of your list is what will get you more sales.

You need a traffic source to begin with. Solo ads, youtube videos, PPC, facebook advertising, however you want to do this.

Then you need to qualify your prospects. Those with interest in what you offer must be separated from those without. Typically this is done by a video or copy.

Then you need to give them a reason to enter your funnel. Could be a giveaway: a book, a video, a report, one key fact that they badly need. Or even an offer to buy right now. This can be done with the same video or copy.

Then you need a sales process. This could be a follow-up email series, or a phone call from you, or a direct mail letter. There has to be an offer in here. Sometimes people miss this important point. If you don't have an offer, people won't buy.

Everyone has hit this one on the head but just something to mention here as well. Setup your sales funnel before you start driving traffic. Make sure it's in place, then drive traffic.

And lastly, as far as testing your squeeze pages, start with the radically differences then move your way down to the finer details. For example, if you're driving solo ad traffic, find out if your squeeze page converts better with mostly images, or mostly text.

Once you know the answer, test the headline, test the image, test the background color, test name + email, or only email, etc.

Pay for advertising. Make sure you only pay for well targeted traffic. A small amount of targeted traffic is worth much more then boatloads of un-targeted visitors.

Paid advertising is definitely the quickest. I only use solo ads to keep my list fresh. Although I started out doing article marketing, it’s not the quickest method but it is free!!

You have to get your message out there, whether it is by free means like YouTube, or paid for advertising. Nobody can find the key if the key is not out there. Field of Dreams said it best, "If you build it, they will come."
