Wondering if this can work

Hi,

I was just wondering if this can work.
Setup a website or blog to promote some affiliate products.
Than buy some traffic from a trusted source and send the traffic to that product website.
Has anyone tried this before or does this sound stupid :confused:

    In most cases I have heard and read of such process does not work..... or convert very poorly because the visitors are not targeted enough!

    Hi Richard,

    The first question is what would the landing page look like? Are you sending directly to the merchant or to your own landing page where they can first give you their details before being redirected to the offer you want them to see?

    The idea in itself does not sound stupid. Afterall, all paid advertising is something modeled after that fashion. And it works well if you know what you are doing. But one more thing to consider is if you want to get paid one time or milk the visitors for some money in the future?

    A well designed landing page with nothing else except where your visitors should fill in their details would be great for such ideas. That way, you may never have to pay for advertising again.
