Need LinkedIn Advice/Wisdom

I am a financial advisor with a robust LinkedIn network. The majority of my LinkedIn connections are folks that I have never met. I have several connections who are recently divorced, professional women. Some are affluent and some are nearly affluent. I have been racking my brain trying to craft an opening email to these connections. I have excellent communication skills but I am struggling to find the perfect initial email that lets them know that I would like to schedule a call or lunch to discuss what I have to offer as an advisor. I don't want to sound too eager/pushy/salesy but at the same time I need something that will catch their attention and create a curiosity on their part. All I need is a hook to get the first meeting. From there I am skilled at converting them to clients. I came to this forum because I was told that you all are a collection of marketing geniuses (verbatim from a friend of mine). I would greatly appreciate any advice/wisdom that you all have. If I get some good ideas I will be sure to keep you posted as to whether or not the strategy is successful. THANK YOU!!

    Hello John,
Thank you for your posting on the forum. I am in outside sales and I can certainly appreciate your thoughtful approach. Being clear in your communication but not pushy will be imperative. Do you also have clients as Linkedin connections? If so, have you asked them to write you Recommendations? This will build credibility because if anyone is interested they will certainly review your profile.

Since you don't know them, I would think of a way to provide value prior to asking for a meeting. Can you invite them to your site where there is valuable info? Answer questions? Offer a whitepaper? Once you establish a relationship beyond just a Linkedin connection, it will become easier to setup appointments. From there, you are good at converting them to clients...
