Can anybody recommend me a good twitter ebook and software?

Hello warrior,

I am interested in getting some ebooks or software about twitter, but there are so many choices in WSO, and I don't know which one is good and worth the money.

I think some of warriors here maybe already buy some of them. So can anybody give me a recommendation?

Hello Tycoon828,

There is a free ebook called "The Twitter Handbook" from @CoachDeb and @warrenWhitlock. I can recommend you also "The Twitter Traffic Machine" from @BillCrosby. I'm using myself what I have learned with it. I'm using TweetLater, too. You can send with it tweets later and send a direct message to every new follower.

How To Get 7777 Targeted Twitter Followers In A Few Weeks

There are several ways how to get a lot of targeted twitter followers.
One way I will show you in 4 steps:

Step 1:

Search on "Twellow" for people in your niche (for example: “network marketer”) with a lot of followers

Step 2:

Go to their twitter profile. Click on “followers”. A lot of People who follow this person are interested in network marketing, too. Follow their followers. You can follow up to 1000 people a day if you are following less than 2000 people. If you reach the limit, twitter blocks the following of more people for 24 hours. If you are following 2000 or more people, you can only follow 10% more people than the number of people who follow you. A part of the people you follow will follow you back.

Step 3:

After 2 days go to "Your Twitter Karma". Enter your twitter user ID and your password. Click on “Whack”. Wait until the you can see the people. Sometimes it does not work. In that case just try it again later. Then select “only following”. Select all the people and click on “bulk unfollow”.

Step 4:

Do steps 1-4 again.

I can recommend Dana Willhoit's Twitter Goldrush, as well as Nathan Hangen's Twitter Rockstar. Both are very good and explain a lot about Twitter in details. :-)

For softwares, I'm not in a position to comment since I don't use one!

There are many good resources available to teach you the mechanics of Twitter. But as I'm so fond of telling people ... "the tools don't make the master!" and even with all the best tactical twitter advice in the world you will struggle if you have no strategy or plan.

They why is always more important than the how... How is easy, just ask someone - only YOU know why.

Jeesh! I sound like a darned fortune cookie now...

Look, you can spend a few bucks and get a few books. Tactics solved... Then what? I'd suggest that BEFORE you dive into the tools you ponder what you are trying to achieve with Twitter.

Brand awareness?
Increased engagement levels?
A multi-step sales process?
Increased main site traffic?
etc...

And just to prove I'm not "all talk and no trousers..." (yup, I'm English) consider this:

The next shift is toward real-time searching. People today are embracing the current search features within Twitter as a way to seek out current and real-time information. THEN they click through the profile to that persons website. Twitter is slipping into the search world and are setting their sites on more. There are even Firerfox plugins that will integrate the top 5 twitter search results into your Google search results - right within the browser.

Now there's a reason WHY you want to think before you act on twitter.

Quick side note about Twitter Karma - I recommend it in at least one of my ebooks, but there is a problem with it - when you get a lot of followers and are following a lot of people it slows down to a crawl or stops working all together.

Peter Drew and I collaborated on a Twitter software which automatically follows/unfollows, but if you don't want to pay for software, you can do this manually or hire a VA to do it for you manually (make sure that you trust them with your Twitter information): Go on Twitter and click on your list of followers. If it does not say "direct message" by their name, this means you can not send them a direct message, which means they are not following you back. Click on the "remove" button in the right hand column next to their name. They're OUTTA there!
