Is there a bookmarking service that does this?

Do you know of any bookmarking services that allow you to bookmark other people's sites and they then bookmark yours? Sort of like a rolling bookmarking service?

I can't think of why someone hasn't thought of this as a way of getting a lot of people together in which they all benefit by bookmarking each others sites.

Maybe someone has already came up with this but I haven't heard about it?

Do you remember which one? And if you use it does it really help in your rankings?

      Thanks,

Of course it would. A well organized system for doing that would be like social bookmarking on crack!

Hmmm. Seems like I've heard some discussion regarding something like this currently in development.

        SocialBot maybe...

Yeah, you'll get the whole domain banned from places like digg instantly with that stuff from what I've heard.

I'm not looking to do anything blackhat... just looking for a system that benefits everyone. It would be like if you had many friends and just ask them to bookmark your url's. How would the social sites know that this is different from just a bunch of random people bookmarking your site if it is done in some random order.

Say there were 1000 people in the system but only a certain amount were allowed to bookmark your site so you didn't all of a sudden get thousands of links at one time.

Maybe have it like only 30-50 could bookmark at a time, then the following week some more... and so on?

This was just a thought as there are bookmarking services but they only post bookmarks from one account, where if there was a service like this you would be getting multiple bookmarks from different people over a period of time.

These things exist and they are blackhat because they seek to 'game' the system in an automated way.
