Free alternative to Quickbooks Online

If you dislike QBOE's interface or just want to try an alternative, give Netbooks a try:

NetBooks Manage Your Whole Business (no association; not affiliate link)

It was started by one of Quickbooks' early developers, Ridgley Evers.

Interesting business model, similar to many other online services:

The first seat is free, additional seats and some addon features cost extra.

I don't have much to report yet as I've just started experimenting with it as I have time.

Other observations or experiences are welcome.

Cool... I was using GnuCash when I was managing my own finances... not as easy to use as QuickBook though. NetBooks seems great, around the price range of QuickBooks online too

Like I said, for basic business accounting, it's free for one user.

I like the clean look of the Netbooks interface.

Thanks, Darrel, I had heard there was a free alternative to QB, but then couldn't remember the name of it. Will definitely check it out!
