Should I set my salespage or blog as homepage

Hello everyone,

I'm currently building a web app to create videos and a blog to support it. The blog has relevant articles about Video Marketing and on how to use the web app.

Now, should I put the sales page as the homepage and create a subdomain for the blog, or put the blog as my homepage and create the salespage on an other page.

I'm really curious about your reactions. Don't forget things like how it effects SEO and number of sales etc.

Thanks!

I hate sales pages as my first impression when coming to a new website. Building a blog and crafting content people want to read will give you a much better chance of ever getting that sale.

I get your point. It's also better for SEO I think to do it that way.

    Sorry I do not agree
You sell an app so present it! what is does, the features and benefits
it doesn't have to be a sleazy sales letter
For example - LearnDash sells plugin and they also post almost daily great content, I read every post!
If you think blog on home page better for SEO - just place it under the product description ..
