Default Got Pathetic Clickthrough Rates? EZA's #1 Article Writer Ain't Sweating It

I've been trying to increase my own clickthrough rates
and have always been wondering... how on earth do
people get such high views?

I assumed that having high views means a higher chance
for high click throughs. I assumed wrong.

Article Writing Obsession

This is revealed by Lance Winslow, EzineArticle's number
1 guy with the most articles!

Quote:
Article(s) Views:7,747,665
Profile Views: 94,473
Articles Published:260,995
URL Clicks:56,292
Votes:4,920
Subscribers:42
Live Articles:16,225
That roughly estimates to 0.7% (not even ONE percent!)
clickthrough rate. He follows up with a post about him
getting more clicks through the published articles but
nevertheless...

It's a good lesson for me... Keep Writing!

Well I'd be kind of worried if I had that low of a CTR with that many page views. It comes down to your copywriting skill, not page views.

I have sort of deduced from other comments I have seen from Lance that he writes because he loves doing it and could care less about the CTR. He's not really "marketing" as much as just expressing his opinions.

Even so, it does go to show that pure volume can overcome almost any other factor in the long run.

Thanks!

Obviously Lance isn't writing all those articles. 260,000+ is impossible for a single person to crank out. Even if you were prolific and wrote from dawn till dusk every day you could maybe churn out what? 40 articles a day? If you did that every day (and who in their right mind would) it would take almost 18 years to get 260,000.

WOW, I'm a bit dumb here what's the difference between published and Live Articles, I've never looked at that before..

Thanks.

Live articles are what's those on EzineArticles.
Published ones are when other people came and took
the article, publishing them on their own site as
content.

His actual articles is 16,225 not the 260,000 - that represents how many times his articles have been published by others for content on their sites.

He does use articles as his sounding board and he has a high count because most of his initial articles were postings he ha on a blog (if I remember correctly).

I don't mean this in a bad way but his CTR is very low but even more amazing is his article views remains low in light of the many articles he has that are live.
