I have only experimented with GoArticles up to this point with very good results, linking my keywords back to my GoArticles posts. I've heard that GA responds MUCH better to backlinks than EZA...is this true?

I think what really matters is getting page rank on your article and optimizing keywords to beat other pages in the SERPs.

I could do that on my own blog, Goarticles, EZA - does not matter. Thats why I prefer to do it on my own site.

I'm on Angela Edwards list for her backlink packets, and in one of the last emails she sent out, that was one of the things she mentioned. She says they're much more responsive to backlinks, get indexed quicker, and allow affiliate links. I was thinking of submitting more to them to see if it makes a difference.

I did not know this. I'm going to concentrate on submitting to them for a while and see what the difference is. Great info.

I agree with Angela and Michael on this, but this is what I do. I submit to lots of article directories, but always to EZA first. Once the EZA is approved, I then put the article at my own site, then submit to GO Articles, Article Dashboard and Amazines. And then a bazillion gajillion others..... You just can't have too many article submissions... To me it is all about the backlinks. Anchored backlinks will help get your site to page one of the search engines, then the traffic will come. I don't do articles for traffic, I do them for links....

Yes, I've noticed that GOAR is much more responsive to backlink building than EZA. I have over 500 articles published on EZA and have always seemed to struggle with bringing them up in the serps. Then I started doing the exact same backlinking with GOAR and immediately saw results.

EZA can be great for getting direct exposure from the directory itself, but when it comes to getting an article to rank high on Google, I will almost always choose a GOAR article.

What are people CTR with their GA articles? I have started to use GA after using EZA for a long time with good results. Its just that i dont think GA provide the same CTR's.

What are other peoples thoughts on this?

Google loves EZA. I have noticed that an EZA article will move up fast and backlinking DOES help BUT a new EZA article will not replace a current ranking EZA article on page 1 of Google. If there is not an EZA article on page 1 then the article will respond much better to baclinking than GA ... IMHO.

While I can't speak from an article writing standpoint, I can from a search standpoint. I've noticed searching for lots of items on the web that almost always there is 1 or 2 articles from EA in the results.

Now on the flip side of things, this could be a niche issue and not an issue specific to the article directory itself.

For example you may see an article get ranked easily for weight loss on goarticles while an IM related article might rank easier on EA. The best thing to do is test it out taking as many variables out of play as possible so your results are giving you accurate assessments of the performance of your link building or traffic building campaigns.

          Hope that helps.

Compared to EZA, I guess GA has less readership and less competition among writers. Thus, you can easily include your aff. links. However, if you want to write the articles for exposure and higher search engine placement, e.g. Articles showing up in the first 10 results for a keyword with loads of competition before increased website rankings. Then EZA is the way to go as they have much clout with quite a few search engines.

I had observed that EZ comes more in google search than GOAR. I feel personally in secured EZ . As it is popular place in seach market . So it brings lots of backlinks which only I can share.

I would suggest uploading the articles to your own blog and do backlinking for that, instead of promoting an ezine article or a go article that you submitted. Its just a lil more extra backlinking you have to do comparitively but the results will be there for you to enjoy forever as you watch your own blog or site page rank increase with every article of yours that you work with the same backlinking strategy.

You mean backlinking directly to my GoArticle with in my blog posts?
But won't recurring links not count for Google?

I am happy the poster posted this, I have learned something here but without sounding as though I want to "own" the thread, does it means goarticles of long term brings more traffic ( with proper link building ) than EZA does?
