Is this domain name worth anything?

Hi Warriors!
Some time ago I bought a domain - freewebplay.com
I've put it up for sale on Sedo and also contacted different free gaming websites with an offer to sell the domain to them - no one got back to me...
What do you think - is it worth anything?

    I wouldn't pay an over the top fee for that.

    Best you can hope for is to make your money back on it.

      I think you are doing the right thing - contacting gaming sites that offer free play. The best you can do is to find someone already in the business that sees value in having the domain.

      Do some keyword research on the top gaming sites offering free play. See what their top (most popular) keyword searches may be. Then do Google searches on those keywords, identify the top 100 sites in the search results, then approach those owners to see if they have interest in your domain.

      There is no intrinsic value in the domain. It only has value placed on it by those that want it.

      Its not really unique enough to be worth buying without some development. There are a lot of other domains someone could get like MyFreeWebPlay dot com or YourFreeWebPlay dot com, literally dozens of them.

      There's nothing wrong with it, there are just so many others available.

    The best thing to do would try to build around that site and get some traffic and sales via cpa or something like that, so you could say that you earned xxxx amount from the site.

    It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it ... obviously.

    According to my experience the domain business is not very easy nowadays as you need something pretty d**n good in in order to cash in.

    I've tried to sell some fairly good domains but without seeing any big money and that's enough for me to not putting any more work into it.

    It does sound attractive, but being made of three words, I can see why people won't rush into buying it. Set up the website and try selling it as a package deal, otherwise you will most likely wait and hope in vain.

      Maybe you could build a quick link directory type of site linking to all free web based games. Start with enough to keep the surfer happy and then ask for a reciprocal link for new submissions. Once you get some PR contact other free game sites and offer to link to them for the reciprocal. You might could build something you could sell or keep and sell products. Just a quick idea..

    There are many scams offering to "appraise" your domain, so steer clear of those.

    You might be able to build its worth by building a site around and getting traffic to it, and then offering it as part of the deal.

    I don't think that it’s a good idea to spend your time building a website about free games because it will be hard to make money from it and you have fierce competition. Just forget this domain name or try to sell it whenever you will be able to.

    Spend your time with something that will surely help you make money.
