Rejected for amazon associate because my website has restricted access

Hi,

I'm having trouble to sign up for the amazon.co.uk associates program. My application got rejected because "this site has restricted access".
My website is an online application that requires a membership or Facebook account to use it. Could this be what they mean with "restricted access"?
I can't find anything in the Associates Programme Operating Agreement about websites with restricted access. After 2 mails and 2 sign up attempts with amazon, I still didn't find out what exactly is meant with "restricted access".

Does anyone have experience with websites that require a membership?

Thanks for any suggestions.

    Amazon are in charge here.

If they say something is wrong, you fix it.

You can't tell them what to do.

If there are certain closed off areas of your website then open them up and try again.

They're not going to signup for membership or through Facebook.

So in short, Amazon does not allow website with non-public access.
I continue my search for another program to join.

      Thanks for your relpies

Start another website which is entirely public. Write about books or whatever on there. And join that site to amazon associates.

You can drive to that site from lots of different sources - seo, Facebook, YouTube, links, whatever... Including links from your private site

          That sounds like an idea!
Does Amazon also check your website *after* they accepting an application?
I am thinking to add a start page with more content, but I'm not planning to update this page because I want to focus on the "private" part of website where users add content.

          Thank you for your advice!

            Here's a tip.
If you can't or don't want to play by Amazons rules find another network. Amazon will find out sooner or later and shut you down, all your hard work down the tubes...

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

What I suggested complies with amazon's requirements: building a website with only public pages, and putting all your amazon associate content on that. Amazon don't care if you also own other *separate* websites, like your private site, as long as there is no amazon associate content on them.

What you suggested in your reply does not comply with amazon's requirements. Of course you should not break the rules, in that way! You really should not need somebody to tell you that!
