How to add an Amazon store to existing website

Hey guy's,

I need some help if possible...

I have set up a pet sitting website for my girlfriends new business and part of what I want to do is add an Amazon store to it to add to the sites revenue.

I have tried creating an aStore but to put it bluntly, the templates are crap. None of the colours match the website although I love how easy it is to list everything in a single category by the click of the mouse.

I just need the ability to add products to my store without the need for templates or limiting colour schemes.

Does anyone know of a plugin that can do it?

May thanks

Ben

I do believe there are plugins which will let you add product information from Amazon, but typically you want to use original content in order to "presell" the products to your visitors.

Most successful Amazon affiliates don't just use plugins that copy product information directly from Amazon. Instead, they write articles/blog posts that review certain products in their own words and then send the visitors to Amazon for more information.

    Best Regards,
    Jon

      Thanks for your reply.

Although the website I have built isn't the type of blog/review site on which that format works.

I need to add products to compliment what's already on my site.

      Thanks

It isn't only blog/review sites specifically that do this. Many Amazon affiliates run informational sites where, in addition to their informational posts, they include posts that review products and link to the products on Amazon where they can be purchased.

The products relate to the same general niche as the information on their sites, meaning they have a lot of targeted traffic reading their product reviews and clicking through to Amazon.

I would recommend setting up and entire store off the blog domain using a subdomain.

This way you can keep it separate from the blog and optimize it in an isolated location.

If you start using Wordpress plugins for Amazon integration, it will junk up your site.

The best platform I recommend for setting up Amazon Stores on complete autopilot is:

Associate-O-Matic | Build a Custom Amazon Associates Store in Minutes

    Enjoy!

For best income per time spent working, I'd add a separate section of your site for product-reports. I'd do extremely honest product reports based on summaries of what real buyers say on Amazon, with comparisions, alternatives, etc. basically saving them time by doing their research for them. Then I'd make links from any relevant places in the main site content, to the relevant product-report. On the product-reports, just put Amazon affiliate links on the product title and images.

I've tried making content-based site and putting links to relevant Amazon products by the side, or in the content, but for the time spent, I make MUCH more income by doing what I say above . . . I know it sounds like "more work", but in my experience it is a lot more income per hour of work, than other methods.
