How to monetize history

Hello:

I keep reading that you should blog what you love, yet I really need to try to make a living also. Can someone suggest how to write about certain periods of history and also be able to monetize them.

How do you monetize history?

    Use Adsense if you can't think of anything else. Otherwise books are a good idea, movies can be good too (become an Amazon Affiliate).

    I'm not sure if this is an option, but maybe see if you can sell magazine subscriptions to historical magazines. I am guessing that pays pretty well since all kinds of fund raisers do it. lol

    If you start blogging, providing great value, good interested readers will follow. Don't expect this to happen overnight, but even if you do not do only minimal promotion ( sharing your posts on facebook, distributing to your friends, twitter, etc ), in 3 months you will get decent traffic to monetize. Google will index your original content and interested readers will follow you. If they like how do you write then they will stick around.

    Sell them history books from amazon, ghraphics with history moments, paintings. I bet you will find easily affiliate products to promote. The good products to promote are deep ones ( not the ones you find on clickbank ). You have to find for the targeted products that will fit your audience. But in this case, books and movies will work great I think.
