Browser Wars - Safari #1 Browser?

We run an eCommerce site... looking over the data GA reports Safari as the #1 browser used by visitors for the past few months, prior to that IE was ahead. Chrome and Firefox are below these two. I'm perplexed. Everything I Read/see shows that Safari is under 10% market share. What am I missing, mobile does account of ~30% of our traffic, but not sure that's enough to put Safari(iphone+ipad) on top. I wonder if demographics have anything to do with it, but can't find a breakdown via demographic(Avg. ave of our client is likely over 50 I'm pretty sure)

    Hey, I have never used Safari before. Is it good? I have IE, Firefox, Chrome and I thought I had a lot. Maybe more for mobile crowd?

      Currently, the number one browser is Chrome, but your niche might alter that.

    Browser stats are similar with all of my web properties also.

    It's default on all iOS devices.
