Sell amazon books on for commission?

I have a blog and I want to make some cash from it. I was thinking of putting some amazon ebooks that are mainstream to sell in my website and get commission? I would put the link on the side bar.

Is there such a thing? What are your experience with this? Thank you.

Yes, naturally. All you have to do is sign up as an Amazon Associate here: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/ (NON-affiliate link)

Overall, though, since books are priced below $10 normally, you would have to sell a LOT to earn anything of a steady income. Are you sure you don't want to take on some more expensive CB products that have more to offer?

Cheers and all the best with your website,

Amazon pays peanuts. You should try to sell some ebooks from Clickbank or sell your own ebooks. Buy some plr or master resell rights ebooks to courses to sell.

Amazon would be a great start.

Write some reviews, put your affiliate link at the end, and go get some traffic to your blog posts

However in the mean time you will definitely want to look for something to sell that will make you a little more money...because yes, amazon's commissions are crap.

While Amazon doesn't pay as much as Clickbank, one of the cool things about Amazon is that if someone were to buy additional products from you at the same time they were buying any books, you would earn a commission on everything they bought. If you go for books that are part of a series, you get your customers to come back over and over.

maybe putting an amazon product can be one thing you can do, or you can add adsense code there to get ppclick income stream.

but I think you can start writing your own ebook, instead of selling people's product, why don't you keep the profit 100% yours?

Yes though books dont pay alot as someone else mentioned. Perhaps you want to add some related products with higher commissions. It does help that you will get earnings if they buy something else.

There are some nice widgets Amazon has you can add books to. You can also make your own and use the Ad Rotator Plug in (free) to rotate them.

You will probably not make a fortune with Amazon, but it is a start. You can then extend to ClickBank and eBay. Have your own website and promote those products regularly. You have to earn some good money!

Be aware, though, that Amazon books/e-books and ClickBank e-books are two totally different propositions, requiring totally different sales approaches.

You can easily sell some Amazon products - especially books - to suitably targeted traffic just by having links to them in a sidebar of a blog, as suggested above - but it will be a big surprise if you manage to sell (m)any ClickBank products that way, and of course there are reasons for that.

Without setting up a complete ClickBank sales process (which would necessarily involve email marketing to subscribers), for myself, I wouldn't be willing to give those products any space on my blogs at all, because I wouldn't derive any income from doing so - and I'm saying that as a full-time affiliate marketer with years of experience of selling ClickBank products in many different niches.

You will need a HELL lot of traffic and sales to really make more than change by selling books from Amazon. In my opinion, Amazon is good for high-price items but not really for making a living from selling books.

I really appreciate you letting me know this as this was what I have always feared. There is so much of hype going on that one can make a good living by selling books on Amazon. Thanks for clearing any doubts I had.

Hi Ricardo - I sell a lot of books on Amazon, as an affiliate, and I strongly recommend it for people trying to make money by selling other, more expensive things on Amazon.

        I'll explain why ...

Amazon has a bizarre affiliate payment system, in which your monthly commission percentage depends on the total number of items (regardless of their prices) that you've sold during each month. If you sell a few expensive items, you'll earn 4% commission on each of them; if you sell a few expensive items and a few hundred books, you can get up to 8.5% commission on the whole lot.

To "serious Amazon affiliates", it matters to have a mix of products at different price-ranges: some (for bulk sales, e.g. books) which are very cheap and easy to sell although they earn almost nothing in affiliate commissions, and other high-priced items on which the commissions produce the serious income. In other words, the real value of selling a few hundred books isn't in the commission you earn on the sale of the books - it's in the boost the sales figures provide to the other items.

Whether it would be worth selling "just the few hundred books" on their own is another matter altogether. So I agree with Georg, above: you'd need an enormous amount of traffic to do that, and it probably wouldn't earn you very much anyway.

Hi Alexa. How are you? I really appreciate you taking the time and the trouble to explain this to me. Deeply appreciate.
I just do not know how I will be able to drive traffic to my Amazon offers. S, I am stumped here.
          Thank you so much. Regards

Maybe you could create a Facebook page with a link to book on Amazon. You could set up a tab and reveal on FB so that each new "like" receives the first chapter of the book. Not only do you get traffic to your book but you build up a list of targeted prospects.

Thanks so much for this advice. I appreciate it. But then it boils down to the same thing, how do I drive traffic?? I suck at that. Lolz.
