Questions for PLR store owners

I imagine that a few of our regular posters here have experience with PLR stores. I'm wondering a few things about this business model as I consider whether it might be right for me. Any advice would be appreciated. Questions:

1. What type of PLR tends to sell with enough consistency to be worth creating?

2. Where are some good places to advertise PLR materials?

3. What type of ecommerce platform is best suited for selling PLR?

4. What is more profitable overall - limiting the number of copies you will sell of each PLR item in an attempt to heighten its value, or selling unlimited copies in an attempt to maximize your sales?

Thanks in advance to anyone who feels like sharing their experience in this business.

    Hey Jon.
I'm not experienced as a PLR store but I've been researching this area and maybe I can help - I'm sure the pro's will pop by to give you better feedback:
    1. It seems PLR in health, wealth and relationships is always needed
    2. places where marketers meet eg forums
    3. woocommerce seems popular as well as ejunkie
    4. jury seems to be out on this one so I plan to do both and test

    Good luck, Jon!

I'm not a store operator either but I have sold quite a lot of wholesale bundles of PLR and MRR stuff.

You ask what sells. I sold the majority of my stuff here in the Classified Ad section so most of it was how-to MMO and related stuff like PLR ebooks, videos, graphics, articles and software. I think that if you want to go into business with a store you might consider starting with one particular market and branching out from there.

As for advertising, I can't comment as my business was almost exclusively on this forum. Same goes for e-commerce platform.

I bought my stuff wholesale and sold it wholesale and wasn't worried about limiting the number of packages available. One thing you may know is that it doesn't matter where you get your inventory, the stuff you'll buy is mostly crap. What made me successful is that I actually sat down and sifted through GBs of material weeding out the junk and offering only the cream.

I had a great supplier. I never see this company mentioned in discussions about where to get the best (relatively speaking) PLR stuff. Their site appears to be sort of dated and looks tacky but man, do they ever make up for it with the absolutely latest releases and prices. Check them out:
