Setting up my KDP account...

I have just completed my first book. I will be selling it on Kindle and (soon after) on CreateSpace as well. I expect that this is the first of several books that I will write. I will be writing these books through my own business (self-employed...) and would want the revenue from the book sales to go to the business.
I have not set up a KDP account yet... Presently, I have one account at Amazon. I use it for multiple reasons: (a) personal purchasing (b) business purchasing (c) affiliate sales revenue - the affiliate sales revenue goes to my business account...
My books will be written under one or more pseudonyms... Should I establish the KDP account as part of my existing account or should I set up as a new, separate account?

Thanks for your assistance
Al

I think you can set it as part of your existing account.
It doesn't matter if you use a pseudonym, because the name of the author can be chosen separately, and is not the name of the Amazon account.

If you need help to set up your account or to publish your kindle, you can send me a PM, I've already published two kindles

      Use your existing account.
You can use whatever different author names you want.
I've probably used 25+ different author names. It's fine, allowed, and you can do it all on one account with no hassle.

Yes, I write under many different genres, and so it would make the buyer suspicious if they saw that one author wrote under so many various unrelated genres.

But, no, Amazon doesn't limit it. You can put in whatever author name you want and change it up as many times as you want.

I even used "Turkey" as the author name for a thanksgiving book.. and it worked! The book is doing well.

Ha -- I found your turkey book -- I can't imagine that the turkey would be interested in offering turkey recipes

OK, I have a new topic now.... let's move on from turkeys to chickens...

            I have a chicken-and-an-egg question...

I am going to want to include the ISBN in the book and a link to the book within the book... How can I get that information into the book before I publish the book?

So I need to publish the book, find out its URL and its ISBN, then enter that data into the book and resubmit it for publication or is there a better way? (There has to be a better way than that, right?)

You'd probably have to publish the book, find the ISBN & URL, then republish, just like you said.

As far as I know, you can't find out the ISBN provided by Amazon before publishing.

You could always buy an ISBN from another website and submit it before you publish, but I'd just take the free Amazon ISBN & republish. It's not too much of a hassle in my opinion.

Just to clarify, within KDP you are allowed as many pen names as you want. I would recommend using your existing account info. because I know many people who did not and then logged into the wrong account by mistake and freaked when they saw an empty bookshelf. Some even reopened an account and ONLY ONE KDP account is allowed.

Now as mentioned you can have as many pen names as you want within KDP but in Author Central where you set up your profile for the names and where you can edit book descriptions, you are allowed only 3 names. So if you reach the max, then you have to set up another Author Central account which you are allowed to do.

Kinda confusing but thats how it is.
