Hi:

I am looking for a Wordpresss plugin that will tell me from where I am getting visitors to my site. I know that there are other tools for this, but I would like to use a WP plugin.

Can you please help me?

Hello Ricardo

Another "okay" plugin you can use to moniter stats is one called "Statpress".

However, any stat plugin can be a huge resource hog and decrease load times on your website.

Your best option would be to use Google Analytics.

The only big issue I have with plugins is that some of them have created havoc with my site, so whenever I want to try a new plugin, I am real apprehensive about it.

Google analytic and statcounter have a good plugin for that. It's just plug and play too.

Hi guys (first post).

Just want to add. I think this is nice because GA doesn't really show some stuffs. I am with WPEngine and was brought to light on that which is a big shocker to me.

Back to the topic, will try out StatPress and Traffic Analyzer and see if that works.

Google analytics is the best option for this. It's plugin is safe easy to install and works perfect with wordpress sites and gives great insights.

It does only show the specific shortened link stats. But he is looking for the main site analytic's plugin.

Pretty links does not track where the hits come from.

Yes of course, I do use Google Analytics, thanks for telling me.

But I am looking for a plug in that will show me where I am getting hits from. As in not from which countries, but from which sites, searches, etc.

Google Analytics.. Not just coz it gives clear picture about your traffic but also coz it help you with Indexing & contributes in terms of SEO.. Ignore everything else.. Just stick with GA which is more than enough.. & dont forget to add your site to Google Webmasters Tool.. Good Luck..
