How to jumpstart your traffic with ego baiting bloggers

First you make a list style blog post. But you want to make a list that recognizes people in your niche. For example, let's say own a website about dog training. I would create a blog post titled something like "The Top Five Dog Trainers." Then make the list with descriptions of the trainers and make sure to put a link to their site.
Now, before you make the list, you want to strategically select the people or sites you include. You want to pick ones that have a strong lots of twitter followers and facebook fans.

Then once you have created your blog post and published it tweet the dog trainers in your list that you've featured them and ask them to tweet your link. If they don't respond via tweet or direct message then you can try to email them. If they do tweet your post (and from my experience they usually will) you'll get lots of traffic as they tweet your post to their followers.

This is works because people like to be recognized even if you have a small blog. It is still good publicity for the people in your list. You can pretty much apply this strategy in any market. To take it to the next level make add some creativity like instead of "The Top Ten Dog Trainers" You can make it like the "Most Passionate Dog Trainers" or "The Most Inspiring Dog Trainers" etc.

Take it even further and give them a REAL reason to link to you by not just making a crappy list of blogs but creating some really unique and original content, stuff like videos and infographics for example that features them / their websites.

For example in the dating niche I did an ego bait post where I had a 'sexy' girl on Fiverr strip to revel their website URLs on her body. They couldn't help but link to it and told me it was awesome.

Use your imagination and be creative.
