What to do with this domain..

I bought this domain on impulse, sense then I've been sitting on it for almost a year.. the domain is freethinksociety.org Originally I was gonna do an info/news political site/blog that was unbiased and let's people think for themselves. I haven't done anything with it at all though. Problem is, idk if I should try and sell it, or maybe take a crack at making it work.. problem is, I really have no idea on how I would monetize this, or if it's even worth the work. Anyone have any ideas, or possibly want the domain? Thanks.

    Hmm.. If you have absolutly no idea you can try to sell it in your provider marketplace. For example Namecheap and GoDaddy has their own marketplaces where you can list your domains without any fee. I don't think that this will sell on Flippa but you may also give it a shot. Good luck Jeffrey

      Well let me tell you that there is a huge potential for monetizing the website if you intend to develop it at all. Politics is something that many people have very strong links with...so how about designing personalized products like mugs and stationary with funny political quotes on it? You might as well become an affiliate for such products.

        Freethinksociety.org has no intrinsic value. It's not short, it's not in high demand (or you would have folks asking you about it), and it's not a prime candidate for commercialization. I would let it drop and don't spend any more money on registrations.

        I have owned many domains and have learned the hard way. If you don't have a plan for a domain - don't buy it. We all fall in love with our "potential golden eggs" but if we don't incubate and develop them, they turn into little money pits.

        If you like the niche and want to blog about it, that's fine. If not, the only value the domain has is the value that someone else sees in it.

          Agree with Steve, I don't think investing more to this domain is not a wise decision if you don't have a good planning.

    It's a good niche - I've catalogued a load of politics forums. Let me tell you that they are way more popular than MMO forums.

    But your domain is rubbish, freethinkingsociety is what you should have bought.
