Promoting the affiliate program for your plugin within your plugin.
I've been developing some wordpress plugins which I plan on selling, and one piece of advice I read was to promote the affiliate program for your plugin within the plugin itself.
Unfortunately, I didn't get anything more specific and I've not had any plugins that have tried something similar to see how they've done it.
So, my question is - how would you promote the affiliate program for your plugin within your plugin itself without it being too intrusive, but without it being completely ignored either.
I can think of 3 ways
1. in the header of each page in the admin area of the plugin.
2. in the footer
3. An additional menu option for the plugin (say after the options page)
that leads to a page promoting the affiliate program.
But wondered what ways others have seen that might be worth using.
Thanks in advance for any help. (and saying Hell No, don't promote it within the plugin is equally valuable as a response).
