Hey everyone,

I'm a little bit new to Warrior Forums and the whole "Internet Marketing" concept all together. However, I can assure you I'm a high quality member as I have become a mod on several other forums (including the well known HackForums.)

To make this short, I was wondering if any of you could recommend any sort of Beginners resources for me to read. I'm looking for something little to start out, however, if I like internet marketing, I'd love to expand into something bigger.

I appreciate your time,

Rhynorater.

    Hi Rhynorater,

Welcome to the Warrior Forum. You're actually in the best place for internet marketing reading resources. Lots of helpful and knowledgeable folks here!

My suggestion is to not get too caught up in reading about internet marketing. Instead, try finding 1 thing that logically makes sense to you. Then, work fully on implementing that 1 thing. The key to doing well online is focusing on one task at a time and taking action on one task at a time. Hope this advice helps!

Excellent advice, thank you DoWhatWorks. Do you have anything I can research to give me that "one thing that makes sense to me?" Like, I'm looking for some strategies to chose from here.

Well, purchase my products of course. (lol)

No, I'm just kidding. You should first determine what area of internet marketing you want to get into. For example, are you looking to start a website that ships physical goods from suppliers direct to your customers? If so, you might want to do a search on here for dropshippers, niche sites, physical products, etc. Are you more interested in affiliate marketing? If so, you should do a search on this site and on google for things like affiliate marketing, CPA marketing, affiliate marketing plans, etc.

Basically, the idea is to get good at learning how to actively do online searches and searches on this forum, for the exact things you want to learn. Of course, first you want to get clear on what things you want to learn how to do. Once you get clarity on what area of internet marketing you want to delve into, begin to research as many online areas as you can: The Warrior Forum, Google, Amazon's book section, and other forums related to the specific areas you're interested in will get you moving in the right direction.

The key, though, is to first get clear on what you want to learn and take action on. Then, become a research machine until you find information that prescribes a plan that makes sense to you. Once you've got this plan, or you put together your own plan, based on information you get from different sources, just start implementing the plan one step at a time.

        So, to sum up:

1.) Get clarity on what you want,
2.) pro-actively research how to accomplish what you want,
3.) make a plan to implement what you want,
4.) take lots of action on that plan

        Hope this helps!

        -Terry

There are three main ways to make money online...

      1) Selling your products

      2) Selling other people's products

      3) Selling your services

You might want to consider them in reverse order...

      Selling your services:

You'll find that you can get started most quickly by figuring out which services you might be able to offer and then offer them, either here or elsewhere. There are freelance sites and of course, there's Fiverr. Plus you can offer them on Craigslist and even by connecting with potential clients in person or online, here, or through Facebook, LinkedIn, and, yes, Twitter!

Selling other people's products (Affiliate Marketing)

Then, find some excellent and in-demand products you can feel good about promoting and join the affiliate programs. Then start promoting them.

In order to make that most effective, also work on building a list, and warm up your prospects by offering them a good pre-sell report in exchange for signing up for your list, and then follow up with them.

A cool way to learn more about that is by paying close attention to the things you encounter during your own learning process:

For example, you'll probably sign up for other people's free offers. Carefully study the "squeeze pages" or opt-in pages that inspire you to sign up.

Then study the thank you page, and the thank you email. And the follow-up emails.

And so on. That's what you'll end up creating once you're ready.

Creating and selling your own product

This is the third leg - and you'll probably want to start with the other two before you tackle this one.

Before you even get started with the second and third, you should also figure out who your best target market is.

      Good luck on your journey!

    Welcome Rhynorater....

There's lots to learn here but the beauty is that there's a great group of members on here who have left you lots and lots of valuable breadcrumbs to follow to begin your journey.

Start with the 5 star posts, especially the all in one posts. You will find that there are many ways to skin the IM cat. Still. when starting out you have to dive in and over time you'll naturally gravitate to those methods/approaches that have greatest appeal to you.

    Again, welcome aboard!
