Targeted visitors are those that are specifically interested in what you have to offer. The sum of those visitors makes up your "audience," the crowd of people that you target for your advertising.

Most marketers find their audience by putting their squeeze page, ad, content with a link back, etc in front of prospects that fit their "perfect customer" profile.

Most often keyword research becomes an important part of the process. It identifies the words and phrases that are typed into the search engines by folks looking for relevant information, sites and products on a particular topic. The search results (SERPs) that are shown as the result of a keyword being searched upon give an idea of the competitors in the niche and the top most relevant sites (in the eyes of the search engine).

Targeting your prospects is an important way to maximize your advertising message as only the most relevant prospects see your message.

i think you should start with Google adwords

targeted visitors , I think your need now is stuff on "traffic generation". One method you can do is to buy traffic, that's more targeted, and if you have a good sales copy it will definitely convert.

Do you know where usually your potential customers "hangout" online?
Go there, advertise there.

AdWords works for you in this area. It's simple, because in your campaign you include the keywords that people search in this domain. And if they use them to find something, your page will be recommended, if your campaign is built correctly.

Be very careful about taking the advice some have given about paid advertising. Unless you know how to do this you will spend more than you make. This is only wothwhile if you are building a list of highly targeted prospects who will buy from you later and eventually make a profit from your ads?

It is wrong for people to say free ads are less targeted because it depends where that comes from? Also, at least 3 times if not many more people click on free organic search results then those sponsored paid for ads. And they are targeted if using the best long tailed keywords which takes time to discover but so worth it!

Writing articles and blogs using such mentioned keywords as well as social media, not just YouTube but also Facebook Fan pages and groups, Twitter and several others also play their part and without risking your shirt?

Paid ads are best for experienced marketers who know what they are doing and worked out how to make them profitable, something I suspect you are not yet?:confused:

Do not use those stupid free for all websites because those are places where spammers spam eachother, something you don't need more of in your inbox. Instead try guest posts, spam free of course, and forums such as this one and also others within your chosen niche. Don't overlook Squidoo, also woth a try provided they allow what you post, as their rules need to be read and followed.

There are many other good free methods, without risking your money on ads that might produce nothing except less money for you and no results at all?

If you have a product you want to sell and you want targeted visitors (people who are interested in what you want to sell) then type in Google your most related keywords. IF you want to sell action games online then type in "action games".

Copy the first 5 websites and put them into quantcast or alexa.com search bar to see the demographic of people who visit those websites. It is a crucial data you may want to use when you want to run campaigns on facebook to target specifically people who are most interested in your products.
