Sales Funnel, Launch, and Product Pricing - Any Thoughts?

Hey friends,

I'm about to launch another product, --only this time, I want to do it right. I'm looking for ideas and thoughts around how to best structure my sales funnel and product offering. Here's the deal, . . .

I found a niche with "zero" competitors. It's a niche I enjoy and feel comfortable with --so much, in fact, that I've been working for 9 months procuring the content. The niche is in the IT/Technology industry and this particular topic has a fairly large user-base. My research has determined that the target market is 95% men, average age: 38, with 70% of those based in the United States.

Content is 70% complete:
180 page .pdf (with 120 screenshots)
25 Videos (About 2.5 hours, Average 10 minutes each, scripted, excellent audio quality, and well designed).

My mission is simple: To offer a great product at a fair price

I have the content, but I'm undecided on the best way to use it. Originally, I intended to use multiple channels: Amazon, Blog, Buy-ebook, upgrade to a membership and get the videos, etc. My ebook is no slouch. It's pretty well done and packed with "meat" so I'm struggling with the freebie download idea. If it's the best thing for the customer, I'll do it --but my experience is that freebies generate the wrong type of leads. It just doesn't sit well with me (considering how much is in there). This isn't a 20 page "report". It's a full blown step-by-step instruction manual.

Moreover, I'd like to reach the searchers on Amazon too (based on my research, I should pick up a good portion of my customers there). I'm estimating around 10% of my customer base will come from Amazon.

Then there's the option to make the written content available using a blog, and a compiled version sold as an ebook (on my site and Amazon). Blogs are unorganized so I don't think people will have a problem paying $9.95 for a well organized ebook to prevent hunting for articles on my blog.

I will have an affiliate program for this so I don't want to hide my video course behind an OTO. It's not that kind of material. Also, I think people appreciate knowing what their options are.

And finally, the pricing options is something I'm struggling with. This material, once consumed, may only be referenced periodically, as needed by the customer, so I think a one-time fee is appropriate over a lower monthly subscription.

The launch?
My "content" would become the website/blog and ultimately drive traffic that way. I do plan to use PPC as the costs are reasonable (no one else bidding).

So, how can I use my content to get traffic and build a launch-list if I plan to sell that content (in ebook format) on Amazon. Moreover, How do I turn those e-book buyers into "course" buyers without hammering them with sleazy OTO's. I just want to be up-front about what I'm offering.

Thank you for reading my novel. I look forward to your input and appreciate you taking time to help out.

You guys are awesome!

You're going to need more information than that.

What are they making per year?
What's keeping them up at night?
    Why your product?
    Who are you?

There are many more question that need to be answered. Probably around 25 more questions.

Also, how are you going to build your seed list? online or offline?
    Forum or trade magazine?

Is this a product they even want? Not what you think they want but, are they proven to purchases courses similar to yours? If so, what did they pay for it?

There's a lot to think about.

Have you actually talked to potential customers in this niche to know that the really need it? If you had, then you would have probably have a 'seed' list you can begin to launch with. Perhaps offer it for free or at a discounted price in return for an email address.

Yes, there's definitely a need for the product - whether I build it, or someone else does. In fact, I see people all over the place hunting tirelessly for the information, and no one (until now) has created one solitary place they can learn this type of stuff. The information is scattered across IT forums, and enthusiast groups. There is not one place you can go for a complete "set" of video tutorials. Yes, they can scrounge around on YouTube and piecemeal some half-*** tutorials, but these aren't very thorough and certainly don't give them enough information to execute things successfully without going down a goat-trail.

In regards to income, . . . based on the type of toys they're buying, I'd say they are the type of people who can not only afford the product, but will also see value in it. (some people can't identify value, and fight with paying for anything). After talking with many of them, these guys aren't that way.

This isn't my first launch. I've got a handle on the market. That I'm 100% sure of. I'm mostly interested in how I should use the content I've created.
