Which Is Best - I need your help!

Dear Warriors,

I have some software I give away to build my list, and I have created another page with video, where I demonstrate why and how I use the software.

The two pages are :

Your Free Affiliate Cloaker - This is my original page and the latest one is below:

Your Free Affiliate Cloaker

Please tell me which you think is best and if they need changing in any way.

Thank you in advance.

Brian

The second landing page is better in my humble opinion simply because you will not lose sign ups due to visitors opting to click on an adsense ad. Work on your headline more to get some specificity and urgency into it.

        I urge you!

        replace with

        You'll thank me for this

        or

        You really need this

        or

something that makes them grateful to you rather than you begging them

If you get what I mean

Personally, I prefer the second page rather than the first.

Any site I see with adwords on it just (and it's an age thing!) says to me I've only put this site up to earn money from Goglers! Which translates, it's not earning enough money for it's keeper, therefore they have to monetise (monetize) it with adsense revenue. So, is it a real site or is it an advertising site?

Hope that helps in some small way.

        ~ Janet ~

Personally I don't like the zoom affect of the new headline (now showing on 2nd site). Ugh I don't mean to sound all negative though, at least you are putting in an effort and making active changes!

When I see animated banners, and/or zooming such as in your current header, I think ... amateur, cheap, sleazy.. If you paid even $10 you could get a decent looking header designed for you, that looks professional. Okay $10 is kind of low but that's what i paid to get my LushProfits logo made and I love it (although ok that's just a logo and we're talking header, I'm presuming that would cost a bit more). Anyhow I was just making a point.

In my opinion, I would always want my site to:
            a) have a clear focus on what I want the user to do
            b) look professional at all times and that doesn't have to mean spend a lot of money, just keep it clean and easy to read

Good luck and hope you keep us updated!

                Hi Brian,

They are good attempts, but everything can be improved, and the only way to tell what's really "best" is by split testing.

I'd pretty much guarantee that you'll make more money without the adsense, and also I saw some of the guys mentioning optin forms both above and below the videos too, which is a good idea.

Something else you may want to think about is the fact that not everyone is willing or able to watch videos online...you may see more optins if you have some text conveying your main benefits somewhere...just two or 3 bullet points should do this.

It's just an idea, as I said, the only real way to find the best methods is to split test, change one thing at a time, and keep testing...

                Hope that's useful my man

                David

The Second one is the best.. Using google adsense on your site, when it comes to selling IM product will make an image that your website is un professional. Thats what I think. I would remove the adwords if I were you, beside the ads mostly will display something from your competitor. You dont want your customer to buy your competitor product rite?

I like the 2nd one better, no adsense .. if you want them to sign up to your list don't give them other options when visiting your page (ie, limit the call to actions).

Plus I think you should include the optin box before the videos above the fold (as well as leaving it after the two videos). But only proper testing will reveal what works best.

Plus I would include some of the text content from the original, into the 2nd site. For users who don't want to watch a video to get an explanation.

You can improve your headline to be more attention grabbing, it's not very interesting and might not keep someone's attention (as a lot of people just scan). It doesn't appeal to any fears or concerns one might have. Here are some ideas off the top of my head:

"Are You SURE You're Getting The Affiliate Traffic You Worked So Hard For?"
"Learn How To Safe-Guard Your Affiliate Links And Protect Your Hard Work"
"Cloaking Is Simple With My Free Cloaking Utility - Learn How Something This Simple Can Have Such Dramatic Effects To Your Business"

Just ideas - don't know how they'd fly!

I appreciate that the adsense will take them away - "Bye Visitor!" Kerching!

      I'll try that also

I'm working on my writing so I'll do that

Thank you for that - I am quite pleased with the way it turned out. I wouldn't want to ditch it unnecessarily.

      All comments gratefully received.

I like the 2nd one Brian, in my opinion I believe that video gives people a lot more information quicker and internet surfers are turned to cool sights with video on them.

    Keep up the good work

The Adsense on the first page put me off, as did the long (appearing) copy. I think that was due to the ads forcing it to be squished over.

I like the second one better, except... My color vision is a little off, like a lot of folks, and that makes me hate to see color combinations like red on green, or red on blue, or vice versa. People with red/green color deficiency tend not to see red as brightly as "normal" people, and so the green or the blue overpowers it, and makes it look awful. Makes me click "back" as soon as I see it -- anything to get away!

Just my impressions as a "user" and not as a marketing expert (which I ain't, by a long shot).
