Been off the WF grid, have a question..

Hey guys

I joined up to WF.. got the info, bought a $12 course, built a product.. then went out there and done it.

Good experience, I succesfully built a second income ranging from $160USD - $500USD per week.. This supplements my freelance career, I work online full time now.

I'll be taking my product to the next level in jan 2014. I have a quick question about my sales page -- do you find it loads really slow? If you guys have any pointers regarding load time, it would be much appreciated.

Info: Optimize Press - Sales Page Template, Media heavy due to course nature, Images optimised (but could I trim down more?)

It is a non-IM product, no pitches here

Many thanks!!

..On a side note, I can't believe everyones still pushing Fiverr as a legitimate design resource.

    Really??

Make your product look spectacular, not a mutilated pixel soup pulled together by some $5 hack.. Image is everything!!

Hi there -Is that the link? I took a look at it and yes I almost clicked out because of load time. Do you have to keep the images optimized? I understand it's about photo manipulation so you want to show them the best pics. but if it will speed up load time it's worth it.

Also, as a copywriter you might want to re-think the goth-like images. They are beautiful but if you had more hip, trendy pics. it might go over better with a wider audience. But that is not my area of expertise so take that for what it's worth.

However, as far as copy goes you might want to start off with more positive statements. Starting off your copy with the word "unfortunately" starts off painting a negative image in your prospects mind and you don't want to do that. You primarily want to stay positive throughout.

    Good luck!

      Damnation.. Gold amongst the detritus!!

WF still has that magic, thanks so much. Everything you have said is tremendously valuable - I'll address every one of these points, particularly the copy. I jumped in with the 'pain point', but I could always reposition that to further down the pitch.

The goth stuff goes down pretty well in this niche, but I'm going to trim down these images as far as they'll go.

      Phenomenally helpful, you're a star!!

Good to hear a success story from a WSO.

Other people outside here say so many trash about the WSO claims but I presonally think there are good ones, you just need to learn how to separate the wheat from the chaff.

And above all, it depends on your ACTION.

For the load time, it opened just fine here or could it be that am on my iPhone? Seems okay, anyway.

Heart Internet is not a very good host. The time to first byte is terrible, 1-2 seconds at least, and that's likely caused by on-server throttling. Very typical of them.

Get a better host, problem solved.

    Hi there!

Good to hear your product is up and you are seeing success!

I would think you can try tweaking with different headlines.
As much as it is an "art" based program - I think some bullets would be helpful.

Also the copy lacks hints of "fast and easy".
How long can I learn this? How easy is it?
Try and think of possible objections.
Perhaps have some copy below your price to justify the price point (eg. You can spend years learning this on your own or $XYZ hiring designers who don't know squat - when you can just create your own masterpiece of art - or something along the lines)

But love the graphics - definitely speaks volumes of your product! :-)
Drop me a PM if you think this makes sense and if you are willing to experiment some minor tweaks to see how conversions go.

The tips on copy are killer guys, thanks so much - will be hitting it with a vengeance when I do my Xmas relaunch.

Do you guys have any suggestions for faster, moderately priced hosting companies?

    Kindest regards

        Surreal,

You do understand you have used a tradename in your domain and product name?

I know lots of people don't give it a second thought, but Adobe is not a small struggling company that would never go after an infringement on their trademark. Written permission goes a long way.

Just a heads up to the wise . . .

Good point Steve, but they'd have to also take out the millions of other Photoshop training courses out there too..

I do take it onboard though, something I had considered previously --

            Surreal,

Not saying anything will happen. I use Photoshop and understand there are sites all over the net using their product names. For all I know, they welcome the publicity. It's just that I have researched into trademark issues for my own business and peace of mind and I have chosen to stay away from even potential problems down the road.

            Good luck to you.

They'll have a hard time trademarking a .3 DOS extension that's just letters. (PSD)
              I don't think that's trademarked.
              "Photoshop", yes. "PSD", doubt it.
