"30 Days To Freedom" Myth or Fact?

Everything is possible... Is it realistic? Not for most people.

I had replaced my full-time income within 2-months - though didn't give that job up for almost 6-months as I continued to grow the business

In working with many others, average timeline is more like 6-12 months for those that really work at it.

The day I quit my job, I felt Absolute Freedom.

No more boss
No more alarm clock
No more sitting in traffic
No more time away from family
No more worrying about sick days
No more being told when to go on vacation

So for me... It was "Overnight Freedom"

However, to generate Income to replace what I was making at my job back in 2001 took me just over 90 days and that was from Affiliate Marketing.

And to get to complete "Financial Freedom" where I never had to worry about how much things cost, mortgage paid, cars paid and cash in the bank was about 3 years.

I made some money and doubles my income for one month, then I hit a rough patch and had no money come in the following. I can only say that I was happy that I did not quit my day job when things started going great. I used to believe that once you get something started, if you are really meticulous, if you take all of the steps and if you work really hard, you can never lose what you achieved little by little. It turns out I was wrong.

Even if someone says yes, it's obviously not a realistic scenario. This is especially true since almost no one would get the basics down in 30 days, much less putting together an entire business plan.

That really depends... if you are a total newbie, then I would say no way. Because you will first fail a lot because you don't understand anything. If you are 1 or 2 years in IM, you test around but you don't really take action but you have a high understanding based on theory and one day you are sick of it, than that chance might be very high, but it's going to be hard to maintain that habit of taking consistent action to produce results. Only if you're really sick of it, you'll get that motivation to finally get shit done.

I assume from your post that you mean buying into some sort of a promise?
(Make full time money online in 30 day course, program, etc).

These type of things only work for very "few" folks, as their success heavily depends on the background and business acumen of that person. Most will fail because they have very little business skills to begin with.

Speaking of business, it's very possible to start up a real business venture, and start earning a full time income well before 30 days are up. (and from that, a person "can" eventually become financially free).

One simply needs to have great products or services to offer, and be able to reach their target customers economically. If you have a scalable business, even better.

Yes, to achieve "freedom", or however you want to call profits, you have to have a budget. Start off with a budget -- I recommend 100, mainly because I use facebook for my advertising and you can test very easily in such a way that you can lower your ad cost as you home in on your perfect customer.

People hate to hear this, but you need money to make money.

you need money to be in motion.

I agree, it IS silly to expect if you're a newbie.

However, once you finally "get it" then you "know" how to make your internet as your "ATM machine".

I delve into facebook advertising and product creation. I have a strong(enough) background in web design to make sales pages on the fly. All I ahve to do is simply make a product to the "template audience" I have created using facebook user demographics, put up an ad, tweek it, then watch the income steadily roll in.

If i lost EVERYTHING (which, honestly... isnt that much, im not too materialistic), all I have to do is initiate aproduct launch.

Once you "get it" you can start making X-amount of dollars in x-amount of days.

Obviously doesnt apply to newbies however...

30 days is a myth.

There are so many misleading lies online…

You can be successful in 30 days if you will start a new business only if you already are an internet marketing expert, you have enough capital for investments, you are well-organized, and you have many JV partners.

30 days is unlikely. It depends on the person and where their interests/skills/experiences fit in. Anything is possible, I guess, but, again, 30 days in unlikely. If somebody is claiming 30 days, my guess is that they had prior knowledge before commencing so that 30 days did not include any learning curve, etc.

I quit my $70,000/yr, mechanical engineering job (plus $20,000/yr bonuses) with the plan to have to sources of income:

1.) Rent my 2 spare bedrooms in my house
2.) Continue playing live gigs with my band 2 - 4 times per week

My long-term plan was to work towards some sort of online business with my newly found free-time, and that's exactly what I've been doing ever since May 2012.

Quitting my job was the best decision I've ever made. I've never been happier!

I quite my job several years ago in order to work for myself full time online so the quite your job part is quite possible. Now the 'freedom' part: not so sure about that I work more now than I even did.

BTW, I spent about a year enjoying being pretty lazy...It's only been about 6 months or so since I've been going balls to the wall trying to build an online business.

I think everyone should just quit their job, and take a shot...worst case scenario:

Your savings runs out, and you go get another job. It's really not a huge deal.

I was able to do it in under 60 days. To earn a full-time income in 30 days is pretty tough unless all the stars align just right.

I think the smartest way to tackle that proposition is to try working "2" jobs for 30 days. Work your "real" job for 30 days and then work your online job for 30 days. If you have a sustainable and scalable business then I think it might be possible. Quitting cold turkey, in my humble opinion, isn't the smartest thing to do.

With the economy the way it is I think good jobs are hard to come by. Work both for awhile. Pay off some extra debt so that you can live on less. Then give it a try.

I agree with most of the answers here. Every situation is different. But, when deciding on what or which online product you want to market, do your homework. No all businesses are ethical. Check out Youtube, read the forums, and do your own bit of research. What kind of commission does it offer compared to your effort? Does it pay 100% commission (mine does). Even with good commission, that never guarantees that you will make anything. Best of luck

as you said, nobody can get overnight success without a series of fails and frustrations

That's a myth for most people. There are very few lucky ones to be able to do that.
But, one should ask himself; regardless of my earnings within those 30 days, is my business stable enough to risk my day job?

I've been in and out of the online industry since 2008, I've made a few hundred bucks here and there but nothing to brag about.

This year I started getting real serious with Empower Network (big mistake) but it put me on the right path with a list builder who showed me the ropes to making money online with list building.

I've been up and running for a few months my biggest downfalls are mastering copy-writing and building a marketing budget. I got laid off and had to put my IM business on the back burner.

If someone had a good mentor or coach, put in the work needed, and had a decent marketing budget then 30 days is totally possible.

However most people just want to be able to push a button and wake up rich which we all know just isn't possible.

IM doesn't differ from any other job.

I could also say that you can make a $1,000,000 in 30 days with trading stocks. High leverage + high bets = easy money. Well, not for everyone.

One should also define the word freedom. Is it really the employer who is keeping you from being free or is it just in your head? Most people externalize their problems to their partners, bossess, jobs, friends, what ever.

Can you show positive progress in 30 days to your financial freedom? Sure, if you put all your effort in it. Can you support your family in 365 days? Yes, if you are consistent and keep working hard.

The things that SOME people get over-night success doesn't mean that everybody can. It is also possible to win in lottery but should you quit your job and put all of your money to lottery? probably not.

If people would just see IM as a job as anyother but where they are their own boss, things would be much clearer and people woudn't quit so easy (as their expectations would be realistic).

"Freedom" from a job is a double-edged sword. Sure you don't have a boss breathing down your neck, but you end up with all kinds of other problems/issues.

Take us - we have our own "international" company (with corporations in both the US and the Philippines), live on a tropical island, get to travel SEAsia regularly and sip fruity drinks, etc.

Still - that doesn't mention the personnel headaches we have, the grinding we do coming up with podcast topics, training apprentices and new managers/supervisors, etc.

You drop one set of problems for another.

Still...don't think I'd ever go back. :-)

Full time income is pretty vague. Much different for a single person vs. someone supporting a family with mortgage, student loans, etc. Could be $1,500 living in a low-cost environment or $10K per month.

I started IM to promote my offline business. That started working very quickly thanks to my competitors focusing on print advertising at the time. Within months I was getting new clients.

I then dabbled in affiliate marketing for a couple of years while running my offline business. When my online business earned more than my offline biz, I made the switch. Took some time, but an online business offers more freedom, but has it's headaches too.

The best part is I really love the online stuff ... I made the decision based on what I liked doing more. It wasn't an easy decision, but I don't regret it one bit.

I think a lot of those points (great product, great traffic etc.) can be achieved in time... for me it's always been a constant work in progress to balance my old job with newer successes, but I'd say that part of the information you can get from some of those 30 day schemes can really be put to some good use.

Does it work in 30 days? I think it's highly unlikely unless maybe your product is something new that can really go viral in 30 days. Even then, it could be risky to quit your day job so soon.

30 days to freedom is not possible, but working hard and building list, creating communities, building repore, giving away value, is much more important.

As the economy is collapsing (yes it will get worse people so keep that in mind) People and folks out there are getting desperate. People are asking screw this, I need to make money online, I need to make $1000 by tomorrow, and how do I make $A SQUILLION DOLLARS by next thrusday!

This is the wrong mentality when most people should be asking, how can I offer value and advice to my market place that will help them reach their goals. Only then will you be ready to receive the rewards in the quickest time possible, only then will you see results and earn the money you truely deserve.

Could you do this in 30 days, well sure, but there would not be much sleep involved. These days online its about working smarter, not harder. the marketing principles that worked 100 years ago have not changed, we just have the internet as a new media to do this on.

If you have already been successful online then yes you could start a new business and make a full time income in 30 days.

For a newbie there is almost no chance of that happening unless you have an amazing mentor.

I think 30 days is too short to be able to make that kind of money. 6 months or a year is more realistic.

I think it's only possible if you have a coach that really makes sure you get things done. Otherwise, the amount of 'wheel spinning' (wasting time) during the first 30 days online of ANY IMer is just too big to do anything significant.

I think for most of the people: NO

In my experience it highly depends on the mentality of someone and often on a lot of random factors.

When I ventured into CPA my mentor said I was his fastest success story. I cranked out my first 200% ROI campaign in two weeks. It was an awesome feeling until Facebook for some reason shut down my ads account referring some strange activity.

In the end every success boils down to these factors.

The most targeted the traffic the better it will also improve conversions.

There is also a way around of the need of cheap traffic. If you have a sales funnel created but that requires a lot of work or a great affiliate product but owning something is always better. Makes you more money.

Well, these are just headlines created to sell...
While it is absolutely possible, it will probably never happen to someone that believes in this type of promotion and buys the product...
