Get a FREE Hosted Wordpress Blog That Supports Pluggins

Hey Guys,

What annoys me about setting up a blog at wordpress is that they charge you for things like adding videos and you can't fully customize your blog.

Here is a way to get a completely free wordpress blog that is fully customizable.

1. Get a domain (You can get a free one at CO.CC - Free Domain name registration + Free DNS service.)
2. Get free hosting with mysql from Free Hosting : 000SPACE
3. In cpanel of 000space select addon domain
4. add your domain in without the "www" and make a note of the name servers it gives you.
5. update your domains name server record in domain admin panel
6. in 000space cpanel go to control panel --> software --> fantastico and then click the install button next to wordpress.

Hey presto you have a full working wordpress blog that supports pluggins with no adverts.

    Hey G,
This seems like an interesting concept, but I'd be wary about the companies involved. Would your site/domain name be safe with them or could they disappear into the ether one morning...

It would bite the big on if you woke up one day to find your WordPress blog gone, especially if you put a bit of time and energy into developing and writing for it.

(In other words, are those websites/services reputable?)

Pretty much every free hosting company eventually dies and takes a load of people's hard work with them. Given you can pick up fantastic hosting for less than 10 bucks a month I don't know why anyone would risk it.

If 10 bucks a month really is a deal breaker for you then you're better off forgetting hosting stuff yourself, bum market using EzineArticles.com for a little while and then spend the results on hosting.

I would fully agree with Andy... Way too many "free" hosting companies have gone missing and took everything down with them. If you can not afford $10 then it is time to re-think what you want to do for a living.

if you use a pemium paid for domain and take a backup of your site you are 100% safe. I only included the lik to a free domain for people who didnt want to invest $10.

I am using this technique to generate rich class c website groups on the cheap.

I would never use free hosting for my money sites, but why pay a company like seohosting.com for ip rich hosting for blogfarms when you can do it for free?

I use this technique for seo. I register domain names that I own and no one can take away from me, i then point them at different free hosting companies, giving each site a completely different class a/b/c ip. I then use these to filter link juice and watch my money making site on a nice shiny dedicated box rise in rankings.

I also put popup scripts on all the free sites as they do also get traffic and they get signups for my lists. I have all the info for all sites backed up anyway so if a free host goes down i just point the domain somewhere else and put it back up, but that hasn't happened to me yet.

PS. I prefer this method to sehosting.com as they give you different class c adresses but they all belong to the same subnet owner. Doing it this way gives you a true ip rich inbound linking structure

A really great tip! I usually just buy some random $1/mo hosting for all of my "crappy" sites but this sounds better.
