Considering spending $275 to have a "sales page" created - should I?

I'm looking for some advice here. As I've said several times before, I have 6 eBooks written, and they all kinda fit together with one another. I sell them from my site and from Amazon, and I do make some sales. However, my website doesn't get hardly any traffic (maybe 10 people per day tops)....even still, I sell a copy every now and again from there.

Anyway, I was looking in the Warriors for Hire section today, and I contacted someone who does sales page creation. I talked to her, and I asked her if she could make me a sales page that offers all 6 of my eBooks individually OR as a package deal.

She suggested to "market" it as a COURSE since all 6 books are geared toward achieving one main goal.

She would then create a "downsell" popup page such that if they decline to buy the entire "course" (aka. all 6 eBooks) they will still be offered to buy one single book. That way they at least buy SOMETHING.

Now, I figure that you usually get what you pay for, and therefore if I want a PROFESSIONALLY made sales page, I will most likely be looking at spending about this much.

My initial thoughts and concerns are as follows:

1.) Would I need to buy a brand new domain name for this sales page? I mean, the ONLY purpose of this sales page will be to sell this course (and also offer the downsell after they try to leave). Or would I be able to use the domain name that I already own, and maybe make this a subdomain (eg. www.mydomain.com/salespage)?

2.) Basically, I'm not really sure about how this page will be given to me for me to use - Do they just give me a PDF document, and then it's my responsibility to direct customers there on my own accord?

3.) Once I have this sales page created, if it turns out to be a really great one, would I then use some sort of paid advertising to drive people to this page (adwords or something?).

4.) Would I be able to make changes to the page once it's made - Maybe I want to play around with the prices. Maybe I may want to add another eBook to the course one day.

5.) In short, what would be the best course of action to take such that I actually make some sales from this sales page. I HAVE sold some of my books at $9.99. I have also sold my books at $3.99 and $0.99 as well. However, I've just never had them in front of a very large audience (because I'm a complete newb at marketing). Therefore, I know that at least some people are interested in my books (considering I've still even made sales with hardly any traffic!).

Sorry if these are completely newbie questions....but I've created 6 eBooks and a pretty damn nice website if I don't say so myself. However, I'm really trying to learn how to MARKET these things...I'm willing to spend some money in the process, but I just don't want to p*ss it away. Therefore I'm asking for some advice from the pros on here.

Thanks!

Great copywriters charge thousands. Even tens of thousands! - You know why? Because they have the sales record to prove it.

What niche are your products in?

Ok..so this is a start. Someone who creates a sales page is called a "copywriter"? I didn't know that. That is a good lead for me to begin doing some additional research. Thank you .

My products are in the lifestyle design niche.

Well, not really. Someone who creates a sales page (design) is called a web designer or web developer. On the other hand, people who write sales letters (sales copy) are copywriters.

They are 2 different things. And the most important is the sales letter. You can have a hot looking page, but without a good sales letter you won't make a lot of money.

I stronly recommend that if you are serious about building a business, invest a decent amount of money to hire a professional copywriter. It will do so much more for you than anything else.

Once you have a good sales copy, focus your efforts on getting affiliates and driving traffic. The money will follow...

It depends on your capital, you must always care about the invesments and if you think 275$ is too much you should look for something cheaper, a very good alternative could be codeclerks.com, is cheap and their freelancers are willing to work for the right price and as well provide you a great result.

I'm not too concerned with the $275....Ya, it's a bit pricey, but I'm not struggling to get by financially or anything like that.

My PRIMARY want is a TOP-QUALITY sales page.

I want my product(s) to be "pitched" in the absolute best way possible, and after that I want to take whatever necessary steps that I need to take in order to get this "course" placed in front of as many people as possible. If I have to spend up to $1000 total (between the page creation and advertising), then so be it...so long as it results in some steady sales.

As I said though, I've never really had a "sales page", nor do I know what to do with it. I was kinda hoping someone could answer my questions in the OP. I've got "eBook creation" DOWN....now, I'm combining them into a "course"....I may even turn them into some videos and what not....

However, I'm completely NEW when it comes to MARKETING these products!

If you're getting copy and graphics for $275 don't expect much in the way of something that will convert, especially with six titles on the page.

The suggestion for instapage.com might be a good one but then there's still the matter of getting the sales copy written. Converting copy runs way over $275. It's possible for you to find someone decent for that price but it's not likely.

It's just going to be one "course"...so it's actually only ONE item.

I'm not sure what you mean my "sales copy" though?

Is there a resource where I can read and research all about this entire "Sales page", "sales copy" thing....something like an A-Z guide that would answer all of my questions.

(Yes, I've looked all over Google, but I'm still left with a plethora of questions).

      Thanks!

People are most often convinced to buy stuff with facts and persuasion. To keep it simple, that's sort of what sales copy is, a compelling reason to buy what your selling. Rather than trying to explain it take a look at this site:

        https://accounts.clickbank.com/marketplace.htm

On the left you'll find lots of different categories of information products. Click on whatever interests you and then click on the individual offers. They all have some type of sales message. Some will be video. Others will be text and still others will be a combination of the two. It costs money to have a real copywriter produce sales copy that will persuade the buyer to actually buy. Check out the examples. Good luck.

You need to have a strategy in place.

Before you pay for copy and then wonder how to promote that sales page, map out exactly how you are going to get traffic to that page.

Are you going to send paid traffic and waste a lot of money learning how to do it best?

Are you going to approach others in your niche to promote as an affiliate for you?

Where are you going to set up your affiliate program?

You really need to do a lot more researching and planning before you even think about paying for any copy, at all.
