Hey Warriors,

Hoping you can give some advice on this...

I have a new clickbank product launch and I'm planning on using the upsell function.

So for my sequence there are two products (main product & upsell product) with two separate sign up pages to get on two different aweber lists (should the buyer choose both products)

My fear is, will the customer not just get confused and just sign up to 1 list and not the other? Also both products can only be delivered via email as it is a rebill service, so its important to get them on two lists.

Has anyone successfully got buyers on two separate email lists after purchase? Or do you find buyers get confused by the process?

Any input greatly received,

Thanks Phil

    Phil,

Anytime you have your prospect or customer jump through too many hoops, you're going to lose some along the way.

Choices, or too many hoops/hurdles can be one of the biggest factors in folks not joining and buying. I've tested this a lot.

Simplicity, in all you do, is your friend.

Often times, too many choices or having too many options can lead to confusion, which can lead to people bailing.

So, if you can use one shopping cart or one list throughout the process... you'll usually be better off.

If the prospect sniffs out anything confusing... it could lead to them bailing.

the flipside is, if you're sales process is kick ass and very persuasive, and the prospect WANTS it bad enough, some will walk through fire to get it.

It's really all about how you set it up and sell it.

so, just explain, openly and honestly, why you're having them do what they're doing.

For me, I've had great results using an Aweber opt in form right before someone signs up for bonuses, or another download.

so, if they purchase... I've had a "middle page" come up that says something like...

"Thanks for your order, I want to make sure you get these bonuses right away, so please enter your first name and email below, in the form, and that way the bonuses will be emailed to you right away"

This way, you get them on that list, without really seeming too confusing.

You're just saying... "hey, if you want the bonuses, just put your name in the form and they'll get sent asap"

so, if you simply and clearly walk someone through what you're trying to do, and be open about it, it shouldn't be a problem.

How distinct are the two pages from each other? They have to look visually and thematically distinct. If both look very similar, you are going to lose a lot of people. Keep it simple. Keep it distinct and make sure you don't recycle any text.
