Designing logos and graphics for website

Hi all,

I just got my domain/hosting up and running, but am unfortunately a dunce when it comes to graphic design! Is it typical for people to hire people for graphics (like banners, website visuals, etc.) and logos, or is it time to learn?

How much would stuff like that cost?

      Its typical to hire people unless you want to learn to do those things yourself. I do most of mine by myself, but it took a while to learn to do it with any degree of facility.

      One thing that is good for sure would be to make sure that ll your identity graphics are coordinated in appearance. They don't have to all look exactly alike, but they need to be related in the way they look.

    I'm rather clumsy at designing that sort of thing, but I know it when I see it. So I typically just ante up the money to outsource it. It save me time and money while generating a better outcome. That way I spend my time on the things I'm good at and that make me profits.

Professional graphic designers understand the use of color, typography, form, spacial relationships, and all the rest that goes into a good design. It's much more than choosing a font, typing your business name, adding a little logo element . . . and calling it good.

      You pay for what you get. Great graphic design is often missing from cheap logos. In addition, watch out for $5 logos that incorporate stolen graphics or copied designs - they are all over the place.

    First advise is to do it yourself, It's not very hard if you have basics, but if you want real quality work then pick up a guy from Warrior For Hire section. Don't forget to ask for sample designs.

    Basically, they can cost anywhere from $5 to $600 or more based on where you are buying it from, the quality, number of revisions, concept and others..

    I typically hire a freelancer. They're all over the web, on fiverr, individual sites, different software programs, customizable PSD files... or... just create them yourself.
