    Skunkworks: noun. informal.

A clandestine group operating without any external intervention or oversight. Such groups achieve significant breakthroughs rarely discussed in public because they operate "outside the box".

i am disappointed of what i saw in flippa
because someone told me that if a site is making X money / month for more than three months if you put it on flippa, it would make > X * 15

there are sites sold for X*4 !!!!!!

I can tell you that I would not even think about selling one of my sites for less than X * 60!

Don't be disappointed. There was a time when you could get 10-16 times the monthly income. With the massive amount of scamming that goes on on Flippa, you can't blame buyers for not wanting to part with their money.

There used to be a time when you could easily make 10 times the monthly income of a site, but that isn't realistic anymore on flippa.

If you can get $500 for the site you can consider yourself a lucky man

I'm starting to see a downward trend on flipping sites on flippa. They are mostly getting undersold.

Mostly due to the ease of creating a Wordpress site and building it up in Google search/paid search to get traffic. So pretty much anyone can build a website and rank it easily now or at least generate enough traffic in one way or another so it seems the site is popular. The market on Flippa gets saturated after awhile from this practice.

You'll get around 3-6 months of revenue when selling your site on flippa if it's been making money for less than a year. Once you hit that 12 month mark, you can expect more around 10-15x monthly revenue.

Of course, all of this can be altered if you have a following who buys websites, a broker to do the selling, or a good advertising plan... but if you're just letting flippa do the selling, this is the norm today. Look at guys like Brad Gosse or Anthony Aires... these guys have been raking it in, but they have a following and reputation.

12 months revenue is actually often a fair minimum when selling a business, especially a passive income business. At 6 months revenue... something was probably pretty wrong with the site.

As others have mentioned, almost everything you're seeing on Flippa is a scam. There are exceptions. But I've pretty much given up sifting through the garbage for people that haven't racked up half a million running these kinds of hustles: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s218/...33bafe945197f8

Flippa goes through the motions of moderating it, but clearly they don't care too much. They're making obscene amounts of money off these people too.

It's tough to ask for 12 months revenue if the site hasn't been making money consistently for 12 months already... this is the problem people are facing when selling on flippa. They expect to make a website, make some quick cash from it in month 1, then sell it for 12x the profit.

Probably at least $600, but it depends on so many things: the stability of your revenue, the reliability of your traffic sources, the quality of your backlinks, and so on.

Really what type of last months profit are you seeing? A year ago it was 6 to 10x last months' profit. What do you see now?
