$17.. will it attract affliates...

I could go now and charge $27 for my product, but it's another debate in my mind.. if I go $17 I'll get more buyers, into my OTO.. if i don't I run the risk of losing potential buyers.. for the pereceived to be high price.

Mmm a diffuclt decision for me as I have no experience with gathering affiliates.. Will I still gather affiliates with a $17 product?

    That is one test you are going have to try. I've always kept the price of my products relatively low so as to make sure that people from all over the world could afford to buy it. You might want to think about who would be buying, and how much you think the average buyer will be able to afford. Today, I sold our product to 2 different buyers in Egypt, which was a first to have two from that country in one day.

    Yes you will get affiliates, BUT getting them to actually promote for that price is another issue.

    If affiliates are the main driving force behind your sales for this partcicular sale, I say the higher price the better.

      Mmm, I'll have to think of a way to sell the product at, $17 while still making sure it is valuable enough for affiliates to promote.

      I've gone out of my way for affiliates on this one, they'll get bonuses, banner creatives, newsletter, so maybe that'll make them want to promote..

    If it looks like a product that the affiliate could easily sell dozens per day, then affiliates will be happy enough to promote it. You might need to do some convincing though.

    Don't forget that some of the affiliate networks (Neverblue & Pepperjam) have products that have payouts of less than a dollar. These are all about volume, and tend to be easy to move.

    Well if you can say that your product is really a high conversion then all will say "YES, I am interested!".

      Hi,

      I am afraid you have it a little bit backwards.

      You need to test prices and see what the best price is that converts before you worry about affiliates.

      Even if you charge $1000 and give the affiliate all the money, it isn't going to do you a bit of good if no one is buying.

      What I am saying, is an affiliate is more concerned with the end profit and not just a percentage of the sale.

      Get some solid numbers on conversion first and tweak your sales page to the best profit you can, before worrying about affiliates.

    How do you know you will get more customers at $17?... have you tested this, or are you relying on theory?

    Testing your price point is important, don't worry about affiliates here.. focus on charging the correct price...

      Ok so my testing comes before adding the product to clickbank?

      As this is where I've got completely confused, the testing and the limitations of Clickbank..

      So is it to test then add to Clickbank or can I do this all while having the product in the CB marketplace?

    You could setup multiple CB products in the same account and then split test sales pages that link to each separate product number.

    Most people are selling something that isn't viable at any price and that's where they stumble.

    I might be able to sell a car above market value with the right sales pitch...I can't even give away free dog poop.

      If your OTO converts, then just give the entire $17 to affilliates and just make your money off of the OTO.
